its safe because it doesnt have gangs and ghettos, no losers, just educated immigrants from hard working foreign nations. Its expensive to live here, very expensive, but its worth it to not live in a gang infested area. I pay $12k property taxes, pay $4000 mortgage and auto insurance for 4 cars is $1100 month with Geico. Even with a clean driving record, because we get a lot of hail here and always a threat of tornados every year in spring.

You said what???? It's filled with ghettos and gangs from all the section 8 housing projects they keep building. Crime is through the roof in Frisco. Even my immigrant neighbors are scared they want to move out ASAP.

Plano is more dense/packed than Frisco, but it's because Plano is pretty close to being fully built out. In the long run, Frisco's population density will probably be the same as Plano's density.

I'm still undecided about whether to move to Dallas or Chicago. One of my concerns is the frequent tornadoes in Texas. We're not just relocating to the U.S.; we're also planning to purchase our dream home by 2026.

The tornados do happen but in some areas in the metro they don’t happen or happen less frequently. That shouldn’t be a deciding factor as there are many other things to consider like weather though out the year (more sunny days than cold, short winters in Texas I know Chicago has longer winters ) also the cost of living, overall environment of the city and more things before moving.

I would definitely suggest visiting both and deciding based off your life style. I recently came back from Chicago last week, I liked the city but to live I prefer Dallas, for me the pros outweigh the cons.

I saved 30k in the last year and a half , it's not enough to buy a home these days, my mortgage with 5% (conventional) down was still quoted around 2900 on a house worth 340k...I will continue to watch rates and hope they go under 5%

Lived there in 67-68. It was a dot in the road. Watching this is mind boggling. Haven't been back since my mother's funeral in 2009. I was the first Anna High School homecoming queen 🤣 in 1968. 29 kids in my class

They have ruined Anna Town Square with the mega apartment buildings, will have 4,000 people trying to get out of one exit every morning. All the essentials, but nothing of quality, Burrus is an overpriced low quality grocery, and the only other option is Walmart. Now than Anna has been ruined the plague is moving north to Van Alstyne, where 30,000 homes are planned. Nice.
