I equate the rounds to basically shrapnel so I think if you had no option, I'd rather have a flask over my heart than not.

Just buy another 22lr tube and dedicate it to the shorts.

I too have dented casings every 2nd round exactly like ur mentioning. When I close the bolt, it slams so hard down on the casing, it tilts the mag sideways. something wrong with the bolt or magwel that makes the mag sit too close to the bolt. I mentioned it to the company and they act like they have no idea what Im talking about. The warranty centre claims they could look at it but would have to wait like 6-10months maybe for parts or something crazy like that. It's retard!

Bought a 'Go Wild' American in 2021 in .308 because the ammo shortage left me way short on 30:06. With the 44mm objective lens the Bushnell I mounted on it, could not get a cheek weld of any sort. Last year, bought on of these stocks. Heavy, but, I'm not hunting mountain sheep, so works for me. Rifle is now a literal tack driver.

Did you ever make a range video of this gun? I'd love to build something similar.
@Mbartel5008 күн бұрын
Since those inserts fit loosely into the chambers, what keeps them from spinning as soon as the bullet contacts the rifling? If the bullet starts to spin, so will the inserts, because there is nothing holding them in place. Think of trying to run on a floor covered with marbles.

I just bought my first gun and it is the .22 I'm new to all this but I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a stiff bolt I thought it needed to be cleaned well because its use. Im still going to clean it before I shoot it but It is most likely just a feature of the gun.

And my lathe stands and rustng without any action... I could do somethimg like that just for fun ... Could benuseful. But with good shotgun ammo, one can doo similar stuff with particulare type of ammo (reversed cups, shot 4.0-4 5mm, etc)

Did you have to remove your rear sights for install. I'm not seeing one. That's way too long for them to call it a micro. A Mini maybe but a micro should easily leave room for the rear sights.

You don't have to completely dissassemble. Just tape up the parts that you don't want painted. Any paint that gets on the barrel will just burn off. If you don't dissassemble, either tape off the mag well, or put an empty mag in it. The paint job turned out nice.

Have you velocity tested these? Seems like you would get a lot of pressure blow by the wad going down the main barrel.

I installed a rifle hammer extender (typically used when a scope is in place) I removed the magazine catch and filed the width down to fit the hammer extender and tightened it down. This puts the extender 90 degrees to the release tab which can be installed left or right side, then gives easier access to the mag release. No drilling or tapping and can be removed easily with no major modifications to the trigger group.

I actually like the way this one looks and I happen to have bought mine with a detachable magazine sadly the person I bought it from didn't have the old box magazine or the bayonet anymore so it wasn't entirely original but I'm not complaining it originally came with a 30-round steel mag but I had to get rid of that damn thing it had too much of a profile to hang up on shit so I found a little 20 round mag in a pawn shop magazine bin and has been reliable ever since I bought it.

Thank YOU For INTERESTING and INFORMATIVE VIDEO!!! I also have a CZ527 in 7.62X39 which I LOVE, GREAT RIFLE!! I'VE GOT A QUESTION, where did you get that REAR PEEP SIGHT?!!!! WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE, I'M 71 and my EYE (only have one) isn't as good as it used to be even though I see stuff people overlook!!! I'm very visual and consistently panning my head left and right to make up for my LIMITED FIELD OF VISION!!! My nickname is Hawkeye if that gives you an idea of my shooting prowess!! I show my shooting buddies my targets and they say "REMIND ME NOT TO PISS YOU OFF!!!🤣😂🤣😂 Don't worry it takes A LOT to PISS ME OFF!!! JUST DON'T F--K WITH MY ONLY GOOD EYE, JUST THAT SIMPLE!!!😉😁👍

I went and got the new bolt and tried bending it. Definitely gave it more clearance on the scope however it still is not very smooth. Love the look of the 527 but that bolt is horrible. Definitely would spend the extra money and get a tikka or sako if you want flawless bolt action. Although the new cz I looked at the other day looks like they finally corrected this mess.

I was given a gun that had some pretty bad surface rust, so I removed it with #0000 steel wool and gun oil, and then left a thin coat of oil like I always do anyway when I clean my guns.. It has some pits because it had been neglected for 30 years. I probably won't use this gun. as I have no need for a 5th 12 gauge shotgun, so I'll check it again in about 6 months and rub a fresh coat of oil (my routine for the guns I don't use). If it shows no signs of rust, then I figure...meh, good enough.
