I remember the first videos of Letsdig 18 rolling into this property. All the clean up, the clearing, filling the floor of the "barn/garage", drying up the swamp at the back to make the small pond. So much change in such a short time. That old farm house was a ton of work. This property is night and day different from the neglected "wasteland" it was. Just the clean up and hauling off of the junk was a job. Really looking good.

I watched your video and of course I am getting excited for the concrete pour. When you flash by and I saw the pond I remembered when Chris was digging it out. But I remembered even further back when Chris introduced you as his friend and you sometimes helped him out by filming him whilst he worked on projects. Geoff, from watching your videos do I understand the entire basement is above ground, or am I missing something, you keep refining the basement GREAT VIDEO KEEP THEM COMING

What you have seemed to have missed is that is not a flat piece of ground probably because slopes do not show up well in videos. The pool side pond side were the majority of action has been will be an exposed basement. The up side probably will be back filed soon with dirt from all the piles of dirt you see scattered around the property. Many houses including my 1600 sq foot house built on sloped lots have walkout basement with at least 3 sides completely back filled.

It just seems that way because we have to build retaining walls and backfill. But yes, the back that faces the lake is all exposed

The house is ducted geothermal. The mini split is just for the theater and my office (above the theater). Those areas are difficult to control as a ducted zone.

That window is a food pass thru from the basement kitchen. The pillars are just the foundation for the columns that are steel 4x4’s. Thanks 😊

Question for the question and answer session: I am very interested in a chronological progression of the vision that you have ultimately now outlined in concrete. Beginning with that first day when LetsDig18 published his initial exploratory visit to this property, I would love to know, at what point did the vision develop from “a house somewhere on the 35 acre farm”, to the specific home that we now see being born beside the 5 acre pond. So, some kind of chronological understanding of the development of your vision would be an extremely revealing share for us, the viewers…. Thank you for your time,
