Yeah, the issue with watercooling cases is that those are not really ready for serious watercooling. Like they would show in the specs/diagrams what radiator fits in that place but never include fans that you need to place on the radiator or fittings that you have to leave space for, or simply which thickness of the radiators will have collisions with each other. I'm preparing for some time to put LC in Meshify 2 XL and I use empty cardboard boxes to simulate radiators, before I commit to buy the HW.

Funny to bring home a TX-1600 and before replacing old one in the rig, sit down to watch this video and suddenly this ad. (my 4090 blinks time to time and all I found is it may be a power supply problem. Power supplying, in wide range)

Thank you for the excellent video. Clear, direct, and very informative. I almost wish I had not seen the performance and temperature benefits from delidding the CPU, because that is not something I think I can do myself. I am new to this channel, but you don't talk about what kind of cooler you use for the delidded CPU. It would be very interesting to see what are the limits that can be done for performance for a delidded CPU, with performance tuning of wattage, speed, timings, and memory optimization. In the end, I will probably end up getting a 9800 X3D to replace my aging 5600 X3D system, that is going to move to the backup system. I am going to wait though for prices and availability. Thanks again for a great video!

1. 120 mm fans should be verboten. Big slow turning fans move more air with less noise. 2. Radiators should be 160 mm, 320 mm, or 480mm. 3. Motherboards fan plugs should have enough capacity to power 2 x 170 mm or 3 x 240 mm fans. 4. Radiators should have filtered ambient air drawn into the case to keep positive air pressure in the case to limit dust buildup and with fans that are interior to the radiator to muffle noise. 5. Fan mounting plates should should be made to fit specific fan sizes not the fit any fan size plate that need to be dremeled out to prevent blocking air flow from large fans as shown at 8:40.

Just a tip when drilling, always use the slowest speed setting on your drill when using a step drill bit, then drill it again from the back side (if possible) to clean the hole smooth.

"I got it covered" in graffiti perhaps, but I'm not so sure she'll look not so great at 60/70 with all that pointless ink on folds. Why on earth would someone do that to themselves? Popular approval and likes? not from me.

The Havn case is so ugly and inflexible design-wise it really hurts to watch this build-process. Sure they have some really interesting design aspects and tightly engineered mounting solutions but the case is mostly a plane crash. The things I truly admire is the presentation/packaging and that gorgeous B&O-esque user manual (reminds me of their vintage user manuals from way back). Amazing design and color choices there 👌

esd is an solved problem that may have been relevant 30 years ago. but most chips have esd resistant i/o pins now. old chip ram was really sensitive and so were mobos with a lot of through hole parts so it was hard to hold without touching things. now they are plastered with plastic bits and heat sinks, lots of places to hold without touching a trace. heat spreaders too.

Is the problem with 670E mobos solved where ssd slow down? I have msi 670e carbon wifi and i want to upgrade to pci 5.0 but don't know will it work well.

Man, theres like an unwritten rule thats gives right-of-passage for water cooling that says we must modify metal inside the case. Usually I dont realize this till AFTER everything is in and I'm making hard lines. At that point i sit there for a good 10 mins wondering if i am good enough at metal shaving collection to drill without removing everything. Every time i spend about 45 mins and a whole roll of masking tape to capture the chips, then 25 mins to drill carefully and clean up. Then as i am patting myself on the back saying "well done" i relaize i could have stripped down the case drilled the hole, blew it out with air and reassembled in half the time hahahah. Her hair looks great BTW and i love the guest appearance - thats my fav previous ekwb employee! His videos are great 👍🏻
