I used to have this on 12” till I split with my ex 3 years ago. When I first bought it I always thought the band members all looked really old in the sleeve pics, but they were probably only a couple of years older than me!

Long time fan of Loop, but saw them for the first time about a month ago. Still awesome, and they create a mesmeric field like no other band out there. Heartily recommend their latest LP. One of the bands on my label owe a big debt to Loop, especially this track: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJbXd5iqrryMY6s

the rapid pace/energy/physicality of the drumming performance, with the extremely slow development and execution of different sonic ideas, it's just like nothing else. only thing i could think of would be some earlyish Can tracks but even then, this is at such an extreme discrepancy between the two. i truly truly adore this one

I saw Loop a few times in the 80's. I swung my hair so hard and for so long I had an out of body experience. Say no to drugs, listen to Loop! I wonder if they get any props from the current doom/stoner bands?
@elemaszer3 жыл бұрын
The band name is not La! Neu?, then "NEU!" And they started much earlier, in 1971, and till they gotta here, they had some much better lps.

So ahead of its time! Increase the pitch of the vocals and this could be atmospheric/cosmic black metal 😈 🪐

I guarantee you that most of those bands are heavily influenced by Loop; Infact, Loop seem to have had a big influence on numerous undergroud/Avant metal bands: Neurosis and Electric Wizard to name a couple.

Still got the old Fade Out CD somehow...This band really turned me on to psychedelic music in about '89, and are still a huge influence. This tune is just out there. Grazie Paolo!

this was the peak...loop always sounded like loop but this LP had the SOUND...honestly, a youtube upload is not going to give the same effect as the vinyl or even the CD...you can get LOST in this with the right source and equipment...trust me on that....this song especially, it is an orchestration of noise that is one of the top psych songs of all time...kinda sounds like an AM radio here on youtube thru laptop speakers %^)
@briannoojin17103 жыл бұрын
You are spot on about the sound. I have this on vinyl and it is a transcendent experience at the right volume. Late 80's Loop and Spacemen 3 are amazing.

77 Drummers!!! Da fuck, New wave shit, masters.... Ahead of their time.... Their score for the brutually violent film "Ichi the Killer" is visceral, and emotional. Incredible

Loop were more about the 60's/70's psychadelic scene than the 80's new wave. During the 80's we referred to Loop as psychadelic rock.
