The first guy in Texas with a R1 got beat by me on a stock 98 lime green zx9r. He was so pissed he ruined is helmut throwing it to the ground, saying how his bike was supposed to be faster. I looked at him as I was passing him and thought, "I thought his bike was suppose to be faster."

I had a 1983 KZ1000R2 ELR and at Shannonville buddy Art Robbins took it around the track in front of a packed stadium , finishing up with a biiiig burn out in pit row to please the crowd and baptising my new ride with molten rubber ... a proud moment to own that thing !

I've the vfr750F ( rc36) and it may be much bigger than the 400,it's still a great piece of kit. Nothing else sounds like it

I wish we had these muscle bikes in the US. We didn't get most of them, apparently Americans wanted faired sportbikes instead. I love these big naked bikes and wouldn't mind getting one to restore.

Would a 10.5" long D lock fit in this, it's listed as 10" but with it being roll top there might be some wiggle room

Mine’s at 106k mi, and counting. Runs like a top, it’s no Busa, but this mf gets out in. Can’t say how much I love this baby!

Note that Yamaha CP3 is just a marketing gimmick, in order to keep consistent with their CP4 engine found in R1. All inline-3 engines currently on the market are cross-plane.

I rode my mates ZX9R, what an awesome bike. Comfortable and quick. Id have one over the ZX12 any day. Light and quick and comfortable. It pulled like me as a 16yr old.

Rvf400 daily ride. 16km each way too and from work is not enough. But I always get to work with a smile on my face. There are lots of nice twisties around Brisbane, and these bikes just eat them up. Great video. Is there one with the RVF?

Great video. I have had BMs, KTMs and all the modern stuff but after been let down by the electronics that the marketing guys tell me I need I have binned them ( at a great loss ) and bought a 2004 big 14 last year. What a bike ! I ride a bit slower in the bends and not so fast on the motorway and bought an anchor to throw out when I want to slow down but the thing is full of character and is a proper bike ... I mean a proper bike. Ask a 4 year old to draw a picture of a bike and this is what you get. No BS, no electronics to disappoint you just pure motorbiking pleasure. I am 74 and thought , fuck it .. I am going to buy another one. So for the same price as one year's depreciation on a new electronic POS I went and bought another one to sit in my garage. They are now called Pixie and Dixie and both are going to be licked all over and treated to Xmas and birthday presents such as new brakes and suspension. They will see me out and provide a bargain for the next lucky bugger.

Hard to find Aussie KZbinrs that have your style of reviewing. I hope you do come back whenever that might be and update us on what you have ridden whether it’s cool or not! Wishing you the best brother.

I had one back in the late 90s, used to red line it everywhere, never any issues and so reliable.
