Easy to say "shoot more" - even the least costly of shoots eats a third of my monthly wages (after rent), so I can afford one 3-hour shoot in a month. I show my photos to colleagues, they say they like them, no one wants to pose, get a free photoshoot - so I'm back to hiring a model next month. If I could, I definitely would - I'm not saying it's a bad tip.

Nice... Some fine photos with friendly and useful constructive criticism, nicely done. At first I wanted to throw in my twopence into quite a few (but who am I!), but I really want to say that I love how the "riseboudoir" photo has this beautiful intriguing accord, symmetry even, between the sea in the picture on the wall and the pose of the model. Loving it.

What do you think about the impact of color neutrality behind the monitor and lighting on the colors and contrast we see on the monitor?
@MichaelSasserКүн бұрын
I don't focus on it too much. Lightroom has a grey background. Maybe if I were coloring for Versace or something. But for my clients, I feel like a shade one direction or another doesn't make or break the final images.

Is this app just for people who bought the course?
@MichaelSasserАй бұрын
That is correct! It is designed to be used in conjunction with the video course. The goal is to have them be cliff notes to what you learn in the video, so you aren't continuously relying on them every shoot, but to help you get the strategies under your belt so one day you don't need them. Believe me, it is the most comprehensive video course on posing out there and it is SO worth it! boudoircourses.com/poses

Hehe, I totally did that once, set out lights out on a balcony to shoot inside to create a "fake sun", it totally worked like a charm especially since the windows had a nice diffuse white curtain in front of them. It was like after sunset so we didn't have much natural light to work with!

I'm always amused when photographers, who do only one kind of theme for ages, get nervous when they shoot something new. @MichaelSasser starts this video with: "All of this to create a photo I've never tried before with no idea if it would work." As a creative photographer who works with paint, pigment, water, fire, fabrics, plaster and a lot of other stuff. I'm totally relaxed when I try something new and take the challenge without fear. Young colleagues I always give the advise to leave the narrow path of comfort and try something new. The more you try the more secure you get with new stuff. Just give it a try or you will miss a lot of other creative stuff with cameras.
@MichaelSasser2 ай бұрын
Haha, this is a really good take! It's easy to get sucked into your rhythm and can make it scary to get outside the box. There is little pressure when just doing something new for fun, but this was a bigger production for me and took lots of scheduling and investment renting the studio, paying everyone to be there in hopes the images would be worth it. Thank you for watching!
@Nick-Locke-Foto2 ай бұрын
@@MichaelSasser Totally agree with you. I feel your pain about the investment and the fear if it will pay back. From my side, doing only free projects, it won't pay back in any case, it's just a investment for nothing else than fun. So here is no return in any case other than happy models and photographer...
@MichaelSasser2 ай бұрын
Totally, much less pressure when it's just a new idea for fun. I need to do that more often too!
