Is there a age barrier to get admission to Japanese Language School ? Currently, I am 42. Please advise.

Dawg idk about you but I kinda panicked seeing that 1 million yen thing. I think they lowered it to 3,000 yen for a single entry, and 6,000 yen for Double entry.

goodness, you are so spoiled and impatient. time and age will fix you. if you are bothered by all these things I can only imagine what hell it really is living with you, such a primadonna, in the same house. poor you, I am so sorry for you that Japan is not as liberal as your home country. If Japan would have been as you like it, it won't be Japan anymore, it will be your own country.

Wow cool video. Did you get to Japan via gogonihon by any chance? You have a familiar face. Even though I’m 35 I’m getting ready to go to Japan on October in order to attend a language school in Tokyo and this is the topic that scares me the most. You talked about meetup, what is it 🤌🏻🤌🏻 I was just looking for apps or something to get in touch with locals as well. I’m very worried since I’m a super shy person 🙈🙈

I did go through gogonihon! So excited for you to get to Japan soon~ I think you'll be just fine. The meetup thing I mentioned refers to this website, I used it a lot when I first came to Japan: www.meetup.com/

As a dad of a large family in Japan: 1. Almost all Parking lots are coin only 2. Garbage cans nowhere 3. Slurping noodles 4. ETC fees get excessive 5. They will not just transfer medical data or digital money, everything is by hand and physical. 6. They love anime on a level that annoys me, all signs are cartoons, they advertise with it, even serious stuff. 7. Crowds EVERYWHERE, literally thousands of people doing everything. 8. Even kid places, there are adults doing the activities and it's annoying, I didn't pay for this kid activity for my kids to wait for grown ass adults to be in front of them. Especially Disney kid areas. 8. Old people do what they want, say what they want, cross the road where they want. Their privilege is insane and rude.

I've actually been dreaming of going to japan sinds 2020 or so, I'm now 16, I will be 17 in March! I'm from Belgium & have been looking into it and I was thinking of maybe going to Japan after highschool, and going to language school there. Although now I'm not sure anymore. With all the costs it will be super expensive and what if I don't end up liking living there? What if I don't want to continue studying there, etc. Then I'd just have to move back and a whole lot of money will be wasted to skills that I won't even need in my country... I'm really not sure, help!

It's really highly recommended to learn some Japanese before you go to Japan! At least knowing hiragana and katakana will help you out a lot

Can you go for longer than a year? If so how do you extend your stay?
@elevLisa Жыл бұрын
Yes you can! The longest you can stay on a student visa is for 2 years. Once you're in Japan you can usually easily extend your visa with the help of your language school :)

Hahaha I remember going to Japan for the first time and saying いいですor 大丈夫です when I didn't want to take the clothing I'd just tried - i'd just get puzzled looks from store staff like ok do u want or not??? hahaha - then my host sister pointed out that I should say けっこうです instead if I didnt want it hahaha oops.

Loved to see a video from you 🥰 You're so skilled at making them! What I have seen so far from many people our age is: It somehow get's better when we get to our mid-twenties. The brain is finally fully developed, we have earned money and experiences and it feels like we finally get an idea of who we are. Which makes life just so much more peaceful. I hope the hot temperatures will decrease soon and wish you all the best 😊 I still miss you ❤

I feel the same way as you, I’m currently at a Japanese language school and I’m one of the older students in my class and I see others just catching on so quickly and it sticks in their head and I sometimes feel I’m so behind and that can suck!! I realised that we all have parts that we are good at or weak at and maybe I’m stronger in an area than someone else, so I have to remember that and everyone is different in how they learn. Keep up the great work hun, ur doing fantastic, wish you well!!! 😉🫶🩷❤️🪭🎉
