Vielen Dank! Ich konnte sie ohne Probleme mit Reifen der Größe 205 55 16 fahren, alles, was breiter ist, wie 215 oder 225, würde an den Kotflügeln reiben. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Felgen wegen 8J mindestens 215er und optimalerweise 225er Reifen haben sollten, sodass sie mit 205er nicht perfekt aussehen, wenn Sie mich fragen ... Thanks for posting. .. The 16" alloys are a far cry from the tiny 14" OE factory wheel used in 1979 era. .. There's something about the tire size which catches ones eye.. Maybe one size taller? .. The 215/55 HR16" which is an ever-so-slightly taller tire? .. On my C124 I'm running the common 205/55/16" size..looks ever so slightly small... Many thanks for posting...

Hi Michael, yes you are right, I just had this older tires sitting in the garage, so I decided to use them to try it out. Would definitely look 10x better with bigger tires or maybe just to lower it a bit...

Dabei handelt es sich um die 16-Zoll-8J-ET34-Version. Um sie ohne Änderungen an den Kotflügeln verwenden zu können, sind schlankere Reifen erforderlich. Ich habe 205 55 16 verwendet, alles, was breiter ist, wie 215 oder 225, wird wahrscheinlich Reibungsprobleme haben.

Good question, they will stick out from fenders, so you would need really low profile tire so it doesn't rub, you can check my other video on channel with Brock B1 where I used 9J ET15 16" wheels with low profile works, but not comfortable drive...

I thing you can find this grill on ebay, it goes for around 100-150 usd/eur, just search for "w124 avantgarde grill". I think with 17" you can go with 225 45 17 tires and shouldnt be any problems. Note, probably you will need to lower your car a bit to look best if you didnt do it yet...

I didn't roll my fenders, I just used low profile tires 205/50/16, because of the tire stretch it didn't rub, but I do not recommend it for daily use, ride quality is not that great... They are great for the shows or if you do not drive your car that often... And as you can see on my channel I have 30+ sets of wheels, so I didn't use them for a long time, so can't say for certain that you will not have any rubbing issues...

These are the best cars that Mercedes ever made. I've owned dozens of them and I can tell you that. I would rather have those cars from the 70s 80s into the mid-nineties then a brand new one because they are much better they're simpler. Nothing goes wrong with them. They run forever and they are still stallish and I think better looking than the cars of today. I regret selling my 92 500 E that was such an incredible car. If you're lucky enough to own one of these keep it. Don't drive it in the Winter. You'll have a car that will last you forever.

Agreed 100%! How much cars in total do you have? I try to not drive this over winter, but as it is 2.2 (not that powerful), I enjoy to do few spins on the road when it is snowing! :) Not recommended but for fun! :)

@@addictedtorust In 2018 I had 61 cars all Mercedes all special either black series or V12 Tudor coops and then we sold off probably close to 40. Of them since then and I think we still have maybe like 16 but some. Of them. I will never sell. I got my 500 SELS in 98 devil never gets sold my CL6. $102? S coup which is a 99 which was the last year. They made but they were relatively careful by 99 that is a magnificent car. Let's see I don't think it has 38000 miles on it. My my E322 door co-op which is a 94. That's a very limited addition card that didn't make many of them. By the way the CO 699 the only made a 165 of those for America. There weren't many of those at all and then I had some porsches and my greatest car ever. That is the Mac most. Incredible. Car is my Nissan GTR which is bill to 1400 horse power. It's a daily driver. It is a hi H second quarter mile car in 170 miles an hour. It's absolutely brutal. And that's about all but I'm old now 78 getting up there and I've been dragged. Racing since I was 13 years old open Erie Pennsylvania which was a great town for Drag Racing. Any I'll have a good one hope by answered your question.

Not sure how much lowering this eibach did, as I had them when I bought the car. Comfort is nice, only thing I don't like is this setup with 205 tires. They need to be 215 or 225 in order to fit nicely on the rim. Now it looks like rim is sticking out comparing to tire. But you must use 205 if you didn't roll your fenders, anything bigger like 215 or 225 will rub...

Try musway me120 they sound much better and have same size, but you'll have to buy wiers separatly or use wiers from mb speakers. Also you could use Groun Zero speakers but their sound is flat. By the way I use same radio as you have in coupe)

Great wheels also! Yes, 124 wants bigger ET definitely. Around 35 would be great. ET11 is mostly for w123, w116 or w126. I was able to put ET15 with Brock B1 16" 9J on w124, you can check it on my channel, but tire is stretched too much....
