As a kid, Rocky IV was my favorite. Drago was so scary. I didn't have the patience for the first couple of Rockys lol. As an adult, I appreciated 1 & 2 a lot more and while 4 has its moments, it is definitely a far different tone. The Director's cut is better.

They changed the music because it wasn't Bill Conti scoring this movie, it was Vince DiCola. And yes, "No Easy Way Out" by Robert Tepper debuted in this movie, although it was written about a divorce. And the ref *tried* to separate Drago & Apollo, but Drago shoved him away. What more could you expect that ref to do against someone of that imposing stature with obvious blood-lust driving him?🤷‍♂️ Please allow Rocky V to get here faster than Rocky IV did after Rocky III. 3 months is a LONG time🤔

As a child I skipped the third film unknowingly, never saw the bromance with Apollo and Rocky so I didn't know what to think about Apollo dying. I was still disturbed by it though and thought Rocky was too invested in avenging the death of Apollo who antagonized him the whole second film.

"I think you should do reactions to all the Rocky and Creed movies. It's a journey of a character that someone deserves to see in its entirety, especially after Rocky 5. First Blood is exceptional, the second and third ones are like Rocky 3 and 4 (probably Stallone didn't give much importance to the scripts), but Rambo 4 is truly incredible. It reflected like Rocky 6, released in 2008 and 2006 respectively, and understood he's mistakes. Finally, I would like to add that one of Stallone's movie that nobody has ever reacted to is Lock Up in 1988. An excellent film, much better than Over the Top or Cobra. It would be nice to see that too!"

If you’re not a boxing fan , people think it’s rare for someone to die in the ring but back in the 70’s-80’s championship rounds were 15 that was changed to 12 in 1982, a lot of boxers had horrible brain damage! Referees were also a lot more brutal they wouldn’t stop a fight that often. Now referees stop fights right when your hands go down and you can’t protect yourself.

For your information the robot was in the movie because Sly has an autistic son and back when this was made he read something from a dr/shrink that was doing a program with robots and autistic children. When he did the new directors cut he cut the robot out

Stallone did a Rocky IV director's cut. It was suppose to come out two years ago. But to this day I've never seen it any where. He on youtube talked about really regretting having the robot in the movie. So he cut all scenes with the robot in his director's cut. Using unused footage he shot too.

I completely disagree with the take that this movie really sits with Apollo's death more than Rocky 3 sits with Mickey's. In Rocky 3, Rocky can't even train he's so guilty about losing Mickey and conflicted over what Mickey revealed to him about the nature of his title defenses. In this movie, Apollo dies and the movie just jumps into training. There's no real sitting with the grief or even seeing Rocky grieve. It's all implied but that's about it. The newer cut that Stallone releases gives the grief a little more of its just desserts in my opinion.

Boxing deaths are common. I think the average is a 12 or more boxers die every year. There was a recent death of a fight on ESPN where the fight was fight of the year but the man just died a few days ago. He was a Warrior and took to many punches.

There was a director’s cut of this movie released a few years ago that’s more dramatic and less of an 80s comic book/cartoon. I think that one is better imo (and NO robot).

Someone dying in the ring isn't common but it happens. In 1982 Ray Mancini ( Boom, Boom) accidentally killed South Korean boxer Kim Dŭk-gu (Duk Koo Kim) in the ring. He was never the same after the death

Rocky 4 is my favorite. Followed by 3 and 2. You should watch Tango and Cash. It’s a great Sly movie with Curt Russell. Also we know this movie was done in the 80’s u don’t have to keep saying it. Also can she just watch the movie w/out complaining about every scene? Sly still has that jacket and I agree w/him and TONS of others it looks really good on Sly Ok the dig at Sly was it I’m gone- lost a viewer
