Glad you enjoyed the video, I wasn't going till the last minute, and thought well once in a life time... I think I picked the best day as 92 was broken after Friday and before on Thursday... Which knowing that locomotive wasn't a big surprise. As for the direction yes I hear you... Shame one or 2 couldn't have been the other way.. but not many railways have turntables so it is what it is.

Hi Matt, I've purchased from you before. Do you do a converter for a Ratio /Cooper craft kits. I have a number of these completed kits, and would like to go to NEM couplings. Kind regards Mike of Bristol

Hello Mike, Thanks for purchasing I recognized the name. I cannot remember what the ratio ones are I have a vague memory but depends on what it is. The coopercraft kits I know some have been sold on to other companies, Phoenix and Cambrian so they may have been changed. Best to send photos of the couplings and the area around them... To see if we have anything suitable. But we don't have anything designed specifically for them. [email protected]

Yes Kernow are the manufacturers, reason it was 10 years was due to Dave Jones disappearing and I imagine some communication from the factory... So Kernow have done this outright. They own all of their toolings despite being done by efe.

An excellent model of a unique part of railway history. I'd love to see them tackle the LSWR H12 Railmotor with it's unusual single axle drive and they later were turned into the C14 loco with a 2-2-0 and then a 0-4-0 layout

Just curious as to why you do not fit a kadee no 5 or 148 coupling and prefer to stick with the NEM pocket fittings?
@bluebellModelrailway3 ай бұрын
With an NEM pocket the item is more sellable when it comes to moving it on. As NEM is the standard in the UK and not everyone runs Kadees so the public are open to use whatever coupling they would like.

This is good. I had an old unrebuilt pacific but managed to strip the gears when cleaning the wheels with too much resistance. Bought an even older replacement chassis from ebay which works but is very noisy. I was planning at some point to get an airfix kit of the unrebuilt pacific to use with my non-working chassis however this kit would be much more fun. Would be a non-working display model only.

@bluebellModelrailway6 ай бұрын
Hi Adi, not bad thank you? I've not seen a problem on second radius so can't comment on that or Hornby's as I don't have one to inspect, however I can see from other reviewers that the construction an hiding of joints was better. Each as you say have good and bad.. Rapido I've always sort of believed to be a higher standard but I have to be honest I dont see them pushing and reaching for a higher standard, this goes from paint finishes used to assembly to accessories... I'm sure some will agree and some disagree it would be boring if everyone agreed with me. I am worried regarding the brass finish as its a prominent feature going forward on other models like the O1, or the Metropolitan E, and in some regard the stirling single.. Would be nice if they pushed the boundies otherwise they will be left behind. Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year.

Curious models! I never knew that the tank and pacific versions had been proposed. Going by the performance of the Q1, these variants might have been excellent locomotives, possibly better than the BR standards that came later?
@bluebellModelrailway7 ай бұрын
Thank you, 😊 yes I've always had an interest in what might have been, when you find old drawings in some case old wooden models like the Pacific version which is at the NRM, it's always the question what if... But always have to be careful with these drawings is some have been created by those who just have a runaway imagination. And others are real. As the drawing is quite basic (see links description) it certainly leaves a little room to add some areas or try different things. Could they have been better who knows but it's always interesting 🤔

"Bulleid decided to adopt an amended version of this system using the coupled wheels letter to split the leading and trailing axles numbers from the following running number, hence 21c11, being the 11th member of the class." Looks amazing, and great detalization of the model! I wonder why the body did not warp the same as the chassis
@bluebellModelrailway8 ай бұрын
A couple of reasons. The printer is only so big, and it's cost and size and time, as the body shell is the main spine of the model and self supporting when fixed to the main body shell the floor would be held straight. Secondly the floor has to have recesses for wheels this is thinner and less supported and the ends will warp. As mentioned the body is the main structure.. If you don't have a strong body shell design this will warp also.
@osmanpasha_diy8 ай бұрын
@@bluebellModelrailway in what orientation did you print the body? I am asking, because my prints warp heavily even if they are designed as a self-supported box.
@bluebellModelrailway8 ай бұрын
It's rotated on 3 axis and printed roof facing the build platform and built from a point on the corner 30 degree's on 3 axis plus also wall thickness is 0.9mm.
