I think it's for the best that we can't find out they're working on things. They're going to release what they are going to release regardless, and whether we know about it or not isn't going to change when it comes out either. At least like this it can be a pleasant surprise when something drops rather than something we knew about months in advance only for the hype to have already died off before release.

It’s totally justifiable to want private branches be actually private. It’s a wonder that wasn’t changed many years ago with other similar adjustments.

Why was Source Filmmaker included in this private branch decision? The game/program hasn't been updated since 2015

All this graphical horse power required to run this game, it only looks marginally better than pre baked light maps. Honestly, RT hardware would be better put to use for fast GPU parrallel ray testing for physics simulation.

1:45 This highlights my problems with the RTX remakes' concept. The gravity gun is _so_ fucking bright that I _guarantee_ every player would be much less likely to use it just because of how annoying it is, even if it manifested only subconsciously. Portal and HL2 are incredible _because_ of such attention to detail. If Valve made these games _with_ RTX lighting, they would have designed the Gravity Gun totally differently, because this is terrible for gameplay. This lack of attention is the exact worst thing a remake can do.
