Can you please explain why exhale from top to bottom (upper chest to abdomem)? In my yoga training, my teachers taught the exhale is the same order as the inhale (abdomen, ribcage, upperchest)? Thankyou 🙏🏼☺️💜💚🧘‍♀️

I have an old injury to my left shoulder now my right shoulder has the same thing rotar cuff. I trued doing basic yoga but couldn’t get on the floor to do downward dog which I had loved to do before not so much now. Will this help the injury I tried it just now and loved it.

@Bodsphere thanks 😊 I have a question re yin, I see yin is supposed to be minimal props compared to restorative and that the poses are considered more active than passive...why is there so much conflicting information regarding this? A lot of schools seem to think that yin is props based foremost

I have had surgery on my right lower back in my pelvic area. I think maybe arthritis has set in. Standing straight for long periods of time and walking creates great pain. When I bend over it eases the pain. Will these yoga poses help with improving my pain?
