I just noticed was Chen and Weaver at the wedding together? It seems like they might've ridden to the funeral together or something.

This is the last epi I watched during the original run. Mark was my favorite character, and once he was gone, I lost interest. I've since watched the entire series a couple of times.

I gotta say this, mark took his dying like a man. He never once dreaded his impending death, obviously he didn't exactly jump for joy at the news of his tumor, but he didn't go through all the stages of grief, went straight into acceptance, assumed his fate knowing that he made the right choices in life and did his very best with what time he had. He died just like he lived, with DIGNITY.

I love how Benton just stood there and allowed her to vent. She needed to get out those feelings and him just being there was enough.

It was insensitive for the actor to ask the show to kill off his character. He could’ve just asked out like Clooney (Dr. Ross) did.

I see why this was cut. It's very similar to the aired scene between the two in Orion in the Sky.

My dad had 4 wks to get his affairs in order - he was diagnosed w/ stage 4 pancreatic cancer in July of 88, after reaching age 62 in just a few wks prior, and was dead by the 1st wk of August… the guy was a machine - he arranged all his affairs, taking care of his bizs, his financial obligations for my mom who had Alzheimer’s and my mentally disabled older sister, he arranged for the future sale of the family home and vacation property, along with/ sake prep repairs, he arranged his own funeral down to his grave stone and his burial suit, he put together a note and package of things he wanted each of his 7 children to have, and even arranged for his GS dog to be adopted by his good friend.. I’ve got a high standard to meet

I still cry when I see old episodes with Mark Greene. He's the type of doctor you want working on you and holding your hand. When they killed him off it was a gut punch.

I have never ever ever ever seen this scene before!!!! This must've been edited out of the original episode I guess?? Now after seeing it for the first time I've got 3 things to say........1st) A very well put together emotional scene by Alex Kingston!👍🏻👍🏻 It felt as real as it should be after the realization of the loss of a loved one. 2nd) Of all the people to be walking next to Elizabeth did it have to be Dr. Romano?? That guy was always hoping to get with Elizabeth from the very beginning when she first showed up on the show back in Season 4. But she first chose Peter, and then moved on from him to be with Mark. A very good choice if i do say so myself!👍🏻 I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he had thoughts running through his head at that very moment of....."Hmmm, how much time do I give her to grieve before I can make my move on her??🤔💬💭 And lastly 3rd) Am I the only one who just wanted to reach through the screen and give that bitch Jenn a nice slap across her face!?!? The way she asked Elizabeth "Are you ready to go?" She said it in a way like she has a very important date that she's late for!!😠😠😡😡😡 Jennifer treated Mark like crap during the entire time they were married during the course of the show it makes me mad everytime i see her!! She always found a way to make it all about herself. She was never willing to meet Mark halfway with anything, especially with Rachel.

This scene reminds me of a story one of my professors in college told us as a class about grief. She said “A long time ago, my best friend died. She had breast cancer, and by the time they found it, there was very little they could do. She spent about a year slowly dying, and the entire time, it never felt real to me. And afterwards, I spent years, still not understanding what had happened and why I couldn’t accept it. And it took a long time for me to realize that I couldn’t let go, because I was angry at her for dying. After all this time, I was angry at her for leaving. Which is the most irrational and rational feeling I think I’ve ever had.”
