Noble natties don't have this level of honesty, integrity, actual information, anti-big0try. Milo knows what nh and crowd really are and says nothing too. He's quite disappointing. Probably the only skill he's got😹

This guy seems to be really good at what he does especially on the subject matter compared to all the super buff dudes doing vids with clickbaity titles. As a doctor, i learnt a lot from these recent videos and Would absolutely like more videos about training and nutrition stuff from him.

Some of the biggest bodybuilders of all time were also the strongest, both natural and enhanced. Steve Reeves was reported to have benched 405lbs, and we've all seen Ronnie Coleman benching 500lbs for reps. No need to reinvent the wheel with bullshit volume studies

But who was advocating for 52 sets? Milo Wolf wasn't, Dr. Pak wasn't, Mike Israetel wasn't (and I'm no fan of Israetel). The general recommendation has been 10-20 sets per muscle group per week. The study that found that up to 52 sets were still effective was never taken as "you need to do 52 sets" (especially seeing as the super high volume group still averaged 37 sets per week) or any other ridiculous volume recommendations. The take-away has always been "10-20 sets per week per muscle group is likely enough for most people. But because any actionable volume ceiling isn't really known from the data, and you grow more from more volume, you can try going higher for specialization blocks or especially stubborn muscle group you want to work on." That's completely inoffensive and does not contradict the data.

Dr. Samuel Buckner is one of the best. Humble and skeptical, but open to possibilities. He's busy doing real research, and not trying to become some YT "science" expert. Glad to see you speak on this topic.

That’s my biggest problem with all of these self-proclaimed “science based lifters” nowadays… the whole premise is based on the flawed notion that the “science” of working out and muscle is actually studied. There are way too many variables in how a lift is done, how the rep is done, how the set is done, etc. Also, no study will ever be long term enough or supervised enough to make definitive conclusions about anything.

Mike will say Lyle is right but first he has to finish his current set where he is in the midst of a 72 hour eccentric lengthened partial rep in his collab video for a workout with Milo Wolf & then they have to go to the Magic Mike concert after. But eventually Mike will get around to saying Lyle was right

I competed at decent level of judo in the 90s - One of the national coaches who had been a world bronze medallist and 76 Olympics 5 th place world class fighter . Only trained judo 3 x pw - ran and did circuit training x 2 pw . He told me ANY time he did more training performance suffered and he would be tired and listless. At the time most of the Olympics team trained twice per day . Our physical limits for average athletes in training and recovery probably a lot less than we would like to admit

Not very often you get to see a true fallacy fallacy in the wild. Just because one study or one researcher has failed to demostrate something as being true, doesn't mean it's false.

Thank you, finally some actual good information being shared. I had to go to other sports entirely and figure out how they trained to find out the basics of a lot what you are talking about. Many coaches only share information about the specific sport they work on, so its hard to get information about all of this if you only look into one or two sports. After awhile, you need some of the other stuff (not very much at all) to improve the main thing you are working on, or you start running into these strange blocks.
