As of this past Sunday night. You can take the Commanders off that playoff drought. 23 20 over the Buccaneers.

K, let me start with, I think most qb's are over rated, especially when we look back on them with the tint of rose colored glasses. Let's start with Favre, Favre WAS the quintessential gun slinger. His problem was his arm!! It was so strong it ended up being his downfall cause he thought he could make EVERY throw. And he forced way to many. But, I watched him play for one of the worst run organizations (at that time) in sports. You look at when he made superbowl runs, he had, Reggie White, Desmond Howard, Leroy Butler, Andre Rison, Antonio Freeman and Mark Chmura and Keith Jackson at tight end!! So, you give him players he wins, you depend on him by himself to win, ain't gonna happen!! Arch Manning, I couldn't agree more. No argument here. Completely and totally over rated. Dan Fouts was an absolute FREAK!!! I'm thinking you might be a little young to have seen some of these guys play, but let me tell you, Fouts was an absolute monster. Most of his picks on the Stat sheet came unfortunately because of San Diegos crap defense, and him having to force throws at the end of games to try and mount comebacks. One other thing with Fouts, that maybe you don't know, just the week before that Bengals playoff game that you mentioned, the bengals game that the windchill was -58° ,and would probably never be played in those conditions today. Anyways, the week before that was the Epuc in Miami where guys were getting carried off of the field because of the heat , causing dehydration!!! You've probably seen the picture of Kellon Winslow being helped off of the field by 2 chargers players. So, they went from the dehydration hear game, to, 6 days later playing in -58° Artic air. And oh ya, you brought up he only passed for 180 yards, he still out passed both Bengals QB's in yardage thar day. Drew Bledsoe was another guy who needed a coach to reign him in, but, they continually cut him loose. However in saying, with Favre,Bledsoe, and Fouts, if they ran the offensive passing schemes they run today, those guys would pretty much be unstoppable. And their stats would no doubt reflect that, as their int numbers would probably be at least cut in half, if not more!! And here's who I think are over rated in history are, Snake Stabler, Terry Bradshaw, Bob Griese, Roger Starbach, and the absolute most over rated ever in Cam Newton.

Such a sad story. Saw Art quite a few times during his Arena Football years when he was with the Detroit Drive. Seemed like he had his stuff together, but he didn't. Mike Illitch actually owned the Drive before he acquired the Tigers. Mr. I along with GM Gary Vitto did all they could to help him get his life together, but it didn't help. They even dealt him to the expansion Cincinnati Rockers so he could be closer to home, but to no avail. Such a shame because his 2 years with the Drive, he lit it up.

Walt Patulski was a bigger bust for the Bills. Mike Williams had some good games.

Having a winning record in the regular season is not embarrassing! Winning playoff games is not embarrassing!! THE KEY WORD HERE IS "WIN!"!! So going to 4 straight super bowls and losing is NOT embarrassing.

Regarding George Blanda in 1962 with 42 interceptions. It must be pointed out that the Houston Oilers did win the Eastern division of the AFL. But lost to the Dallas Texans in the AFL championship game. Which was the first double overtime game in the history of football.

Other infamous records: Marvin Lewis owns a 0-7 record in the Postseason. Bill Peterson coached the Houston Oilers to a 1-18 record from 1972-73, the worst winning percentage of any coach in the Super Bowl Era with 10+ games. Jeff Fisher, Dan Reeves and Bill Belichick (believe or or not) are tied for the most losses in NFL history with 165. Matt Eberflus was 5-18 (.217) in games decides by 8 points or fewer, which I remember seeing as the lowest in percentage in such games

Any list without OJ Simpson on it bogus. Steel and probably will always be the only player to gain 2000 yards and 14 games. His injuries kept him from putting up ridiculous all-time numbers. Put him behind that Dallas o-line of the 90s and the NFL would have found it illegal.
@joefaber1381Күн бұрын
You are totally incorrect about San Diego. The city did almost nothing to keep the Chargers. They have been collecting sports taxes for decades and spent 40 years to resolve their stadium issues and didn't.
@joefaber1381Күн бұрын
The NFL is already too large. It needs to divide into two separate leagues to be able to expand further.

I think Huntsville or Birmingham Alabama would be a good possibility. Huntsville doesn’t have a big population but a lot of area for a big stadium. And the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center the team could have a space theme and visitors from the center. While Birmingham has the Stallions in the UFL bring them to the NFL could be interesting. As the Stallions since the USFL was brought back has won both championships and when the USFL and XFL merge the Stallions won the championship last season. As the Stallions have won a three peat bringing them to the NFL and let the Stallions lose

@@CJNello well the Panthers were in their second season in 96. And ironically that’s who the Packers played in the NFC Championship to get to the Superbowl in 96. But either way if he was talking about Packers OR Panthers he still would have been egregiously wrong! But anywho 🤷♂️ 😂

Jamarcus Russell is so dumb that he almost can't even speak. It should have been obvious to people watching his interviews that he had no business leading offenses, wouldn't work hard, wouldn't study tape, and so forth. I'd be surprised if he could write his own name.
