Thank you for your time and talent. This is such a helpful video to learn tapestry crochet. I agree, it is addictive to see the words form and the end result is so satisfying! 🥰💕 I've always wondered, if a zipper could be added to the bottom of a pillow like this. I'd like to use one pillow form and crochet your Welcome seasonal pillows as pillow covers. I've done a flap with buttons on the backside of the pillow and that works, but your two-sided design has me thinking... is it possible to add a zipper to crochet🤔
@CozyNooksDesigns2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is! I have done it once before. Such a good idea! And thank you. You're very kind. The words forming really is so fun to see!

@@CozyNooksDesigns You’re welcome 😉 Did you hand stitch the zipper? If so, did you use yarn 🧶 or a needle and thread 🪡 to stitch the zipper? Sounds like fun, I’ll have to noodle about it. Thanks 🙏

Thank you for sharing you knowledge and expertise! I'm crocheting a doll poncho with a design on it. The first row starts on RS alternating every other stitch using two colors...green, white, green, etc. The row looks nice and neat on RS. The second row starts on WS alternating every other stitch using two colors. This row does not look nice and neat on the RS. Is there a way to neaten the look? I noticed you bring your yarn forward when changing colors...does this neaten the look? Do you need the bring yarn forward when you change colors every stitch? Any clarity you add will be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
@CozyNooksDesigns Жыл бұрын
Does it not look neat because you can see the color not in use? Or because the stitches are slanting a different direction?
@sylvialarson1506 Жыл бұрын
@@CozyNooksDesigns ~ it's not because of unused color showing through, although I don't like seeing the unused color showing through. I like the way you carry the floats plus the other tips you suggested! I want to clarify that I liked the way the stitches looked on the WS, but I needed and wanted the RS to look the same, which it didn't. I decided to bring my yarn in front at the color changes and yarn under as you demonstrated in this video...now the RS looks like the WS!!...now there are complete "Vs" on both sides. When I previously changed colors every stitch I just dropped one color and picked up the new color...the "Vs" never formed, they looked like "Xs". What a difference bringing the yarn forward! I'm so glad I found your video! What about the slanting in different direction? I'm just soooo happy that the color changes done on WS look nice and neat on the RS that I didn't notice the slant enough to "bother" me YET...HaHa. Are the slants preventable? Does the yarn under help? Again, thank you!
@CozyNooksDesigns Жыл бұрын
I'm so glad that helped! What I was referencing is that the stitches naturally slant one way for the RS and the opposite was for the WS. I thought maybe that was making it look messy, but there is no way to prevent that.@@sylvialarson1506

@@CozyNooksDesigns ~ Thank you for your explanation of the slanted stitches. I'm having trouble keeping my tension when I change color and pull old color forward every stitch and then yarn under...you do both so effortlessly!

I just want to say a big THANKYOU!! I was losing my mind before watching this video. I was on attempt no.8 of my 1st sc graphgan & it looked awful, i cldnt get the hang of carrying the yarn without it showing, after watching your video i realised where i was going wrong & now have hope that my 2nd graphgan which is a photo will be a little less stressful

does the " yarn hiding technique" works with lace yarn too? I'm gonna make a tapestry using lace yarn and it has 8 colors and it's my first time to do this. I don't want my client to get dissappointed..
@CozyNooksDesigns Жыл бұрын
Yes! The yarn curves around the stitches, so it gets hidden with any yarn weight.

Can this work be done on a baby blanket?
@CozyNooksDesigns2 жыл бұрын
Yes! You may not want to float the yarn on the wrong side since you will be able to see the back on a blanket, but the pattern can translate to a blanket! :)

Why is it tricky to add a color on the back side 30:55
@CozyNooksDesigns Жыл бұрын
I really shouldn't have used the word tricky. I prefer to never have a new color added on the wrong side for tapestry crochet bc I don't like how it looks. IMO it looks cleaner when a color is added on the front side because of the way crochet slants on the wrong side.
