Nice to meet you! I'm not sure why the Rigid Body doesn't work. I set it to Active and entered the gravity correctly, but it ends with the keyframe animation and then freezes. I can't go to the next step, please help me.

You need the domainbox to be selected if you are going to change fluid simulation speed. For rigid bodies it’s another panel.

I couldn’t get it to work on my shape - the particles and mesh go crazy and don’t define my shape at all. This is a honeycomb grid with some thickness. I wish people would explain how the settings can apply to different shapes and models and what factors might need to be changed.

Did you watch the force field complete guide video on the flip fluid channel? And did you try to use the debugging tools that can help you? You could also send your blend file per support form of the FF Homepage to request support.
@13thnotehifireviews75 ай бұрын
@@Blenderphysics-Videos I tried a million and one settings…..it really needs FF to think of all the issues people can go through, script a proper video going through all these pitfalls and why the animations are not working and then let them get on with it. I’ve been trying for an hour just to get basic fluid movement on my model in FF which isn’t working. There are a huge number of variables that determine the outcome of how the simulation works and whether you can know what the software is doing with the settings in question and to see the simulation. I would also break it down and not try and make the tutorials too complex - simple thing being sought out in achieving but going through all the pitfalls. It’s bound to make them sell more of the software.

@@Blenderphysics-Videos also you can’t know to buy the FF software to get rid of the watermark if you cant know if the software will do what you want. If it does I’d buy it in a heartbeat to get rid of the watermark.

@Blenderphysics-Videos11 ай бұрын
It’s possible but maybe not in the quality you are looking for. 32GB will be good for some basic simulations. But we recommend 64GB or more for higher resolution simulations. A simulation like this can take days for baking and rendering. It depends on your requirements and the quality. Setting up a scene like this will not be easy, too. Try our our demo version and let us know if there are more questions.

Hi Dennis! Thx for the helping video, but I couldn't even then go back to 2.79 hehe, for me there was never a going back after 2.8 :) I have since years ago a FM windows build for 2.80.45, which still works reasonably well, but there was not included the Helper addon for it, do you know where to get it? Another question, since this working version of FM exists, why haven't anyone over the years compiled any more recent FM for any versions of Blender after this 2.80.45?, at least I can't find one.... Seems just like big miss to not have such cool and useful addon in the new awesome Blender, but I guess with all things going Nodes, maybe FM never will be part of the future of Blender... Well well, thx for all the fun during the year with FM, much appreciated! Fracture on...
@Blenderphysics-Videos Жыл бұрын
Hi! I remember that 2.8 build. It was compiled by somebody else but not by the team. And that is the reason why there was no helper addon. Maintenancing a custom build and an addon means a lot of work. Scorpion81 was the programmer on our team and had to do everything alone. As there are too many changes with every new blender version, after a while, maintenance got to heavy. There were many many requests for a fm2.x version. But unfortunately it is too much work for one person alone. And as war as I know scorpion has job and private things. He didn’t live from the fm project. The code still is available. Who knows if there will be someone in the future who will try to compile a new build. With ai tools this became a more realistic scenerio. Would love it as well ;).
