I exercise every day, eat well but regardless have gained about 7kg, and it keeps going up. This started about 18 months post Mirena insertion, which was done during surgery for my endometriosis. Aside from weight gain the Mirena has been great, however I have never been this heavy ever in my life, so I am booked in to have it removed. I know I'll probably hate having my period again, but anything is better than being miserable and hating my body

Did you have a lot of slippage in the beginning ? I’m at 2-3 inches Locd 2 weeks slippage out of control on my nape area 😓

I gained over 100 pounds with mine, my weight gain my doctors said was my fault. I ate to much, I drank to much ect. They wanted to go gastric bypass, I got it out a week ago, I hope taking it out reverses the damage to my body. There was soooooo much stuff that happened to my body and health. They poopooed everything i said. Including saying the Mirena's hormones are only released in your uterus, BS, your uterus unless it has a magic stasis field, that the hormone will not go anywhere else. But the Mirena causes a hormone imbalance. It was just a nightmare. The week I have now had it out, has been heaven, including having my period back. I had my IUD for 7 years!

I have sisterlocs but I have about 380 I’ve cut my hair so many times they would be longer. I honestly really want more. I love the fullness of how your sisterlocs were. Starting over would be a lot but I have thinking about it for a while

How many inches of hair you started with for installation?

I had my mirena in for 10 months and I gained 55lbs which is wayyy more than what most of you guys are saying. I literally haven’t changed anything my diet is exactly the same as before so I couldn’t figure out what it was and came down to it only being the mirena IUD. I’m now off it for 3 months and still struggling to lose the weight. I’ve been going gym for 2 months and on a diet and instead of losing weight I’m still gaining. I don’t know what’s wrong with me I really regret the mirena 😢

Looked at a bunch of videos of people taking the iud out themselves. Removed it today. Cant wait to be myself, lose weight, have no headaches. My skin is always flawless (thank the lord) so thats never been a problem.
