Hi Samantha, both AB Communication and Journalism involve a lot of writing and research, but there are course tracks in AB Comm (ito yung gusto mong maging specialization- typically, you can choose from Media Production, Public Relations, and Advertising). I'm not sure with other unis, but according to my friend who took Journalism, the subjects are more centered on research din, but with news editing and production. Hope that helps, thank you =)

Hi again Sam, from what I know, the only difference is that Mass Communication focuses more on the media aspect of the Communication program (the type used for larger masses, hence the term Mass), while AB Communication is broader. I guess it would also depend on the university you are attending =)

In our uni, both programs have subjects for news writing, but the Journalism program offers more learning opportunities if you want to be in broadcast media (some of the other subjects include investigative journalism, data and science journ, news editing, etc.). Hello, it would depend on the number of subjects that can be credited (and your school's policy regarding shifting courses). Typically, it only takes a long time if the program you are previously from belongs to an entirely different field of study. So let's say, if BS in Aviation ka, then mag shift to AB Comm, most likely konti lang yung macredit na subjects. And that means it will take you more time to finish the course. Well as a AB Comm student you should try Communication arts because based on my experience before I take AB Comm course I take a BS education it's more Demo teaching most in the subject not like in AB COMM mas marami ka pong struggles kapag nag educ ka po kaya po mas maganda po na mag Mass Comm ka po 😊😊

It’s just that taking AB Communication will provide more opportunities for you to hone your skills as a communicator, whereas taking BS Education will focus more on teaching methods and principles. Aside from the tuition fee, there are miscellaneous expenses na dapat paghandaan (DSLR camera, production expenses, software if needed, research-related expenses, etc.,). Reasonable naman sya, and yung iba pwede madiskartehan. Hope that helps =)
