Lovely video, as always Ian. Cracking bass for Chris. It only takes one quality fish like that to make a session. Hope you all had a great Christmas and hopefully I'll see you on that beach in the new year at some point.

Hi Tom yes I was thinking late March / early April when the big bass arrive….. best chance of a memorable fish !!! Looking forward to seeing your video later today!!! Have a great new year mate Cheers ian 🎣❤️👍
@FishyTom6 сағат бұрын
@ianclarkfishing that sounds like a plan. Maybe look at some tides, and we'll get a date pencilled in.
@ianclarkfishing6 сағат бұрын
Ok mate leave it with me!! I guess a Sunday would be best for you or have you any other preference???
@FishyTom6 сағат бұрын
@ianclarkfishing Wednesdays are usually good too.
@ianclarkfishing5 сағат бұрын
I have looked at tides and Wednesday 9th or Sunday 13th April have good tides and it’s around the time of the mega bass!!! Sunday tide a bit bigger with high at sunset but either would be good…. We don’t want a raging wind but we can pencil in both days and decide nearer the time depending on weather conditions 👍🎣

What rods are using? Never see inverted guided rods to fish from the shore
@ianclarkfishing7 күн бұрын
Hi Sergio nice to hear from you! Think that’s an optical illusion actually Red rod is a Penn Tidal 420 Other a very old but magnificent Diawa HPB Thanks for watching hope you enjoyed it cheers Ian
@SergioFersan19916 күн бұрын
I recently discover your channel and I love your stuff. I never saw that style of fishing before, I live in the North Coast of Spain (Asturias) and we fish with long rods here, with the end of the rod being soft to avoid the movement of the bait caused by waves, seeing something different and learning about it's always nice. Thanks for your kind words! Cheers!
@ianclarkfishing6 күн бұрын
Hi Sergio I used to have a long continental style rod of the style that you use but it was not always suitable for the venues that I fish. If you look back at some of my older videos I often fish very rough ground with lots of rocks and weed and you need very strong tackle to cope with that!! They were great on clean beaches with no snags!!! Feliz Navidad!!!! Cheers Ian

Fished Brean down years ago, foggy as hell but fell asleep inside my 1 piece thermal suit. Plenty of whiting but cod weren't having it. The steps up are a test for any man. Best on the beach but it's shallow but throws up suprizes with the bass. Used to park above the high tide mark on the sand on a low to medium tide as many a car was lost in the softer sand years ago. .
@ianclarkfishing16 күн бұрын
@frederickpritchard994 yes I too have walked the steps of doom up Brean down!!! We love the beach and we catch some big bass and cod there as previous videos show!! You can still park on the beach on neap tides but you have to pay and the beach flood gates shut early….thanks for your comments cheers ian
