Hi David yes not my finest hour I must say but I really thought chances were good for a nice fish but unfortunately it wasn’t to be ☹️ I can tolerate bad conditions if you are catching the odd decent fish but when you aren’t then you do get a bit dispirited!!! Cold easterlies down at the Chesil warrants a visit to Dennnings tackle for bait situated on the Portland road and fish the end of the stone bank at weir bay, Fortuneswell you're into very deep water here, sheltered from the easterlies, car park and toilets are all close by. 10 minutes up to Portland bill puts you amongst many species of fish and throws up some great surprises. Tight lines.

Hi Ali someone else also asked how air pressure influences your chances of catching better. All I know is that low pressure tends to affect the fish positively and high pressure negatively……there are interesting articles on it on line!!! Hi, What’s the relationship between high pressure days and poor fishing days?

Hi lovely to hear from you!! Low pressure tends to be better for fishing than high pressure… low pressure usually brings wind which helps but it’s not an exact science but I would always prefer air pressure to be low if I had a choice. There are some informative articles on the web which shed more light on the subject!! Thanks for watching cheers Ian
