Hey . You explain nicely and in detail. I'm a student from India , wanted to apply for masters in biology/allied field. You can call it dream college kind of thing. But it has started to take fee (~6000 euro) too high for me to consider TUM. It shows a waiver option on the site. Of you could get some knowledge of it and make a video. Plz.

Hi Markus, I will apply to the chemistry bachelor program and I already finished my essay. Strangely enough, your essay may only consist of one page at max (I used times new roman 11 since it was a bit too "long" but I didn't want to leave out vital examples) and, at least how I understood it, it will not be graded or relevant in the first stage of the Studienorientierungsverfahren (from what I've understood, I will automatically be accepted in the first stage because of my grades). I personally didn't include sources (I mainly relied on a book from oxford press and knowledged I acquiered during my freetime) since we could write about something we already covered at school and I didn't know how to incorporate sources if the source should basically be your schoolwork (it wasn't exactly the case for me but still). Would you suggest that I still try to add some sources or should I leave it as it is?

I was an international student in Munich ~10 years ago. I waited 1 year before getting a student housing offer from Studentenwerk. I had to move apartment 6 times in 1 year because I couldn't find (affordable) long-term rent. I was very lucky because I arrived in Munich from Asia with no apartment, and got an offer just a few hours after I landed from a 14-hour flight. It happened because someone just rejected a landlord's offer, as the landlord wanted to keep a backup key, but the tenant didn't like the "invasion" of privacy. Never did I know that my subsequent housing hunts in Munich would take weeks or even months. My rents ranged from 260€-650€, between 10-18 sqm, all within inner city ring. Many friends stayed >1 hour away by S-Bahn (comes every 20min). I eventually found a student job at a IT company for ~1000€/month after tax. After paying rent of ~400€ + health insurance €96 (10 years ago) + ~300-400€ food/shopping, I barely had enough left each month. During my student time, I never had the time, money or mood to travel around, despite Munich being close to the Alps and Italy.
