This was good information. I completely agree about being influenced by social media and trying to purchase or change things in my home. Don’t get me wrong some were helpful but I do believe taking a break is a great idea!

Thanks for watching! When I find myself mindlessly shopping, often a social media break is needed and the spending slows down too! Definitely a correlation for me!

Thank you for sharing this because so many live paycheck to paycheck. Social media is such a flood gate for some, that inner false fulfillment that's not real.

You’re very welcome! Thank you for watching! Social has many benefits but it also many negatives! And I think you hit it on the head! I know if I consume too much it can have negative effects on me and it’s important to monitor this and take inventory of our usage and what it is doing to us!

Thank you Christina for such an honest and heartfelt video. I completely understand. Grad school was tough for us as well but we learned a lot and made us what we are now. We look back and feel proud. In time it brings good memories. We moved to Idaho for my husband's grad school and didn't have a car for 4 months. We used the grocery store cart to take our food back and forth until one day we were going by the hardware store and I saw a red wheel barrel and a light went up. We bought it and used it to do groceries downtown. A lot of people thought it was cute but the frat boys made lots of fun. We look back and remember those days.... ahhh.... Wish I had a picture. Your tip about getting out of social media when you find yourself going a bit crazy is one I'll adopt. We are pretty much on track with the other tips but that one applies to me :) One thing I practice is that I really need to love something and know that it will be useful or I will not buy it. Also, when we travel I learned that I can look at things and I can control the desire to buy and come home full of stuff. I learned to enjoy what I see and that's it. It makes traveling light and intentional. Thank you so much again Christina! I am really enjoying your videos. Lili

Lili- thank you for your comment, as always so appreciated! I love your story of the “good ol’ days”! It’s funny how time preserves these memories and we can look back fondly on them! I love your thought on only bringing in things that you love and are useful! I usually can get the I love part but they are not always useful or needed as I have plenty already! I will adapt that to my life! Thank you for sharing!

Okay, you got me at the law school part. My husband and I both graduated law school at the worst time in the country and were poor for a few years. Lots of praying, trusting God and sacrificing to get where we are today. I am so grateful! I appreciate hearing your testimony and your reminders. Thank you!
