THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. DO NOT TRY THIS!!!!!!! Even if the steps in the video are followed, YOU WILL BE KILLED WITH JUST 1 SLIGHT MISTAKE!!!!!!! IT’S 2000 volts, 20 times electricity needed to kill you in an instant. ONE TOUCH to the surface of the wood/clip/table/equipment WILL KILL YOU. AGAIN, DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!

was the dark ring on the outside of the bowl from a burnish or burning of the wood by friction?

Nice pile of chips, and a waste of a lot of wood?

Turn the outside and burn before you hollow it out. You get a nice crisp contrast of color. Nice vid by the way.

Is this ironwood from Quebec? I used to have a cottage near Low Quebec and there were so many lovely ironwood trees on it. I miss them!

I didn’t see anywhere in this video where you mentioned that fractal burning can be lethal with just one mistake. You won’t just burn yourself like with a wood burning kit. You can electrocute yourself and die. One mistake and you’re dead. The AAW has banned the use of fractal burning because of the huge potential for people dying. Don’t try this at home, folks.

It would help to insulate the bare metal of the probe tips to prevent arcing when they are close together. Or you could use shorter length metal pieces on the probes.
