So many of these R & B Divas got the short end of the stick. Shannon (Let The Music Play) never got paid, and I saw a Documentary about Disco and so many of the ladies saw their careers go downhill when disco died down in 1979. Anita Ward (Ring My Bell), Thelma Houston (Don't Leave Me This Way), also many of them sang for their supper performing at Gay Rights Shows like Evelyn "Champagne" King.

I've been a fan of Five Star since 1986 when System Addict came out, and been following them all ever since. I was 7 at that time. Remember watching the video on Saturday Superstore.

I remember back in ‘88 the group was supposed to come to my city. I was so excited to see them but at the last minute the announcer said that Loose Ends would not be appearing. There was almost a riot!! I’m still disappointed that I never got to see them perform live

Drowning in your eyes was my jam. He and i were the same age so i remember that song vividly. However, i never knew who sung it. He had such a beautiful voice. Such a sad end for a man with so much talent and it seems like so much pain. RIP

They were big in the US before they became popular in the UK. Karl McIntosh talked about how they would get mobbed at the airports in the US and then return to the UK and no one recognized them. I guess the Americans appreciated their music before their compatriots did.
