How exactly did Alesha do Sabrina wrong?

I like how all the comments except one mentions only sabrina and alesha. Su-Elise forever forgotten. Such a shame.

This isn't something that is was looking for, but was kinda interested to know what happened to them after the split.. loved the single "why" (slow to garage version, 2001) thanks for this upload. Tc 😎✌️

Sabrina should of been bigger.. far bigger than Alesha in my opinion. N I agree her voice is far better than Alesha.

🤥 Your scum if you believe that Sabrina is the better singer. It was so fucked up on their biggest hit they tried to discredit Alesha, and make it seem like Sabrina hit the climactic belts.
@blackheartbev3098 Жыл бұрын
Do your research!!! This video is all wrong!!!! Look up any live performance of so scandalous and you’ll see. They always try to pin it like it’s Sabrina hitting those notes. Nothing to do with her skin color, she just wasn’t as good at belting

I loved Scandalous! Another great episode, Seph. Thank you so much. I'm glad all the ladies seem to be doing relatively fine despite their break up. And I'm not a fan of all these nostalgia/cash grab reunions, but I wish a show like the big reunion came back and this group could do a one off like that.

I am a New Subscriber, to your channel and I must admit that you definitely give a complete insight, as well as, investigative programming!!! I am from Chicago, USA and growing up during the 80s, I have always wondered how many R/B groups were from the UK, because unfortunately they never get any air play when I was much younger!!! Except for groups such as : Five Starr, Incognito, Loose Ends, Imagination, Soul to Soul, Musical Youth, Princess, Craig David, or former homegirl: Jody Watley, and Jeffrey Daniels!!! Don't get me wrong, I have mad love for my UK BLUE-EYED SOUL artist as well: Adele, Lisa Stansfield, Yaz, George Michael and Wham, Boy George and Culture Club, along with David Bowie, Sting/Police, Pet Shop Boys, etc.... !!! However, too answer your question, this is my 1st time ever hearing of this group!!! But, I don't see them ever getting back together, because of the selfishness of their band mate, taking more money instead of sharing, and staying together as family!!! Love your channel and please keep up the great work!!! Awesome!!!
@Sephsaysso3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much and welcome! To be honest, I don't think the UK has embraced R&B and when they have its only for a short amount of time and then they disappear or relocate to the US to either continue their career or work behind the scenes e.g. songwriting etc! I agree, I don't see them coming back together. Maybe for a one-off performance but not officially!

@@Sephsaysso Thank you for your response and once again knowledge!!! The same thing applies for the U. S.!!! I have noticed, that the music Industry has changed R/B music too a new version of Pop music for artists like Britney Spears to Justin Bieber or Justin Timberlake!!! And, that is because former artists such as, Full Force to Kenny (baby face) Edmonds, have formally written their number #1, hit songs on more than one occasion!!! Unfortunately, the Music Industry, such as Clive Davis, etc.... are or killed off R/B music and replaced it with this negative Demonic Hip Hop, music too poison the minds of Black Culture, Communities and Youth, around the world: USA, UK, AFRICA, AND CARIBBEAN ISLANDS!!! THANK You for your response!!!

Alesha's songs never charted in the billboard charts in the US? Where is this info coming from?
@pe7e3 жыл бұрын
I love Hit It Hard! It should have been massive! Alesha shot herself in the foot trying to be a pop singer instead of playing up her MC abilities. None of her solo stuff aged well like Mis-Teeq. But I do not respect how she did Sabrina.
@shanghaichica Жыл бұрын
Alesha got a lot of public sympathy because of Harvey cheating on her. Her career basically took off after that.
@TheUrbanGentAOB2 жыл бұрын
Mis-teeq was a good group with potential. There should've been way better vocal distribution, however. It was the same formula with every song, which got boring. Share the leads more, also let Su-Elise sing too. You have 3 girls who can sing lead, why not utilize that?
@keepingitnatural760111 ай бұрын
None of the Sabrina’s solo songs showcased her voice. She could really sing and I don’t think these songs did anything for her. Alesha made it bigger than Sabrina because she’s mixed and her skin tone has been very fashionable since the early 2000s.
@OkiDoki181818 Жыл бұрын
You forgot something really important: her music is, till this day, bringing her massive amounts of royalties as it has been used everywhere. Pocketful of sunshine is the best example, the ultimate feel good song used in just about every romantic comedy in the 2010's throughout. She is still loving off those. I expected a bit of a better video, it was very empty and content light.
