Eventually it resulted in me getting distracted because I was listening to what she was doing all the time. I would have been allowed to close my door of course, but I needed the safety of listening to her footsteps, so I didn't 😅

No, no, no...use japanese bidet which is ALWAYS also the toilet, so you can get rid of the ridiculous separate bidet. Next, a separate shower and tub? I dont think so. Combine the two, combine the toilet/bidet, and now you have room for two sinks and twice as much storage.

That's why I have a bed with a zipper in the middle, best of both worlds

I'd just get a loft bed with a desk underneath. Get even more use out of the space. They even make wall stickers that look like night sky to put on the ceiling to make it feel less cramped in the top of the bed.
