This show was specifically for 12 and 13 year olds like that exact age range

1:36:08 I think, he just grew up a little. When he was offered the position at the academy in Japan, his friends were the most important thing to him. He's a little older now and maybe he feels different. Maybe if offered again, he would go to Japan. Maybe he doesn't love his friends less, but realizes he can't base all his life decisions on them. So when this opportunity to be a spy came up, he decided to take it. He didn't tell Kim earlier cause he didn't want to hurt her. He also knows her, she applied to the karate school, and to him it is obvious she was going to get in, so the relationship had an expiration date. Plus I dont think she would have applied without telling him. He probably knew she was applying. Maybe she also matured in the same way, and decided this opportunity at the academy was more important than a high school romance.

This is one of those movies where I shut my brain off and try to enjoy it for how weird it is. I agree it definitely doesn't represent the show very well but the idea is so weird I can't help but find it fascinating.

The sister being played by someone that is 26 really takes me out of the film lmao. She looks nothing like a teenager, despite them desperately trying to make her look younger with her childish clothes and pigtails

haven't finished the video yet, but gonna be full honest right now. I was too busy being traumatized by the strangely children's horror aspect of the movie to fail to recognizes all the faults it had at the time.

Kyrie averaging 18 & 5 as a rookie is superstar numbers. Dude was elite, and a highly regarded prospect.
@MrNostalgia3 күн бұрын
18 and 5 in any context aren't superstar numbers. If that were the case then Jalen Williams on OKC is a superstar right now.
@codybats3 күн бұрын
@@MrNostalgia fair point, but I would argue it was a different NBA in 2011. Kyrie easily won rookie of the year and was only 19 years old. I think the case they made of him being a “superstar” is just because they knew what he was going to become. Also he played his least amount of minutes ever that season. Great video btw bro, I love the sports references lmao

@paigehansen89444 күн бұрын
Oh goodness okay I guess But I mean if the cat was in the spacesuit it could’ve easily freaked & tried to claw its way out… And of course if it wasn’t in the spacesuit, wellll…. Anyways I’m happy with any contrived reason for a furry friend to survive in fiction(:

37:40 Hey friendo! Just to let you know, fun date auctions happen all the time at charity events & it’s not a necessarily gross or predatory practice! My family has worked with a few major charities since I was a kid so I’ve been attending & assisting in those types of events (and many others) my whole life. Most of the time it’s just friends bidding on each other for fun & charity(: I can see how it could be far more problematic as a highschool fundraiser (and less effective, most high schoolers don’t have money to shell out for an authentic date, let alone “buying” the date). But the concept in and of itself isn’t nasty, at least not from my experience (:

Fun fact: in Portugal (where I’m from) the show’s title is Wasabi Warriors 😅 and it aired on “regular” Disney Channel. I started watching this show by coincidence. Was at home, in bed rest after an operation. This was on tv when I woke up, and since I had nothing else to do, decided to give it a watch - it was the episode where they throw a party at the dojo. Let me tell you, I was hollering! This show was a nice surprise, as I wasn’t expecting it to be good, let alone actually funny
