i get stutter issues using the driverKit Drivers with Mac Studio M1 Ultra, sometimes when i open a different app while playing apple music the audio cuts off and then on , this never happened when i was using the kernal extension driver on an imac 27 inch 2020, and the de.rme-audio.dkusb is using 25% CPU Usage, using the latest Sonoma 14.7.1

Thanks for the video ,,, Im still having trouble with my UFX + connecting to my Mac Mini m4 pro.. . the interface shows up under the audio settings in ableton but it still says the audio engine is off.. Also the interface is showing connected in my system report settings.. At the point Im not sure if it is an issue with drivers and firmwares, or Ableton. been troubleshooting for hours about it and cant seem to figure it out. 😑

@RMEAudio I bought the babyface pro after seeing that you could use DAW mode and not have to route everything manually. When using DAW mode there is no sound in the headphones. I have seen your answers here that you have to route your DAW to the headphones but I cant find any info on how to do this with Logic Pro X. The focusrite was so easy, just plug in and everything worked like a charm. Spent several hours trying to get this to work now, just the kind of thing I was hoping to avoid...

It would wonderful if RME made there own Plugin Host. Any possibility of that happening?

I just replaced my old RME HDSP 9652 with an RME Babyface Pro FS. So, where can I see the serial number for the Babyface and what is the maximum length of the USB cable that can be used? The USB cables I received are short.

ADD112 sound more distorted than others, the RME seem to be cleaner HEDD is the right balance between them but the 112 is really distorted it give drive but it miss a few point add112 lose some high on the HEDD as well but more arround 4k the rme is more transparent but it miss some caracter for some genre of music because he don't warm the song at all but remember that's what we are aiming in mastering process ;)

I initially thought -10dbv is quieter than +4dbu while it's actually vice versa.

windows 11, RME Fireface 800. I have sound and can select audio input and output within windows. RME totalmix doesnt show up though and i can find anywhere to access it manually. I do have sound in and out though..help please

Hi, how do you 'highlight' individual output channels? In the video, your output channels are darker, you 'highlight' them and they become brighter, I assume by clicking on them. In my totalmix, all of the outputs are bright, and clicking them doesn't actually do anything.

Amazing. I was hoping for some “essentials” to see if I can make a last ditch effort salvaging the UCX II I bought and that I’m thinking about sending back. I learned nothing from this. This amateurish gibberish matches the quality of the software. Which is a shame because the hardware is clearly excellent. But this is not usable for the average musician. Nowhere have I found any tutorials that explain how to set up basic multichannel recording sessions in Logic with this. I don’t care about multiple routing options and loop back and all the hoops I had to jump through just to get a signal in my headphones.

It is not about speed only, but compatibility. Updating the products to USB 3/C and/or TB will make the product future proof.

RME is the best. There is no more stable and great cristal clear recording interface (I have 3, my main being the Fireface UFX III) . . . . and TotalMix, that is a masterpiece!!!
