Been to the top of Whitney 5 times, AMAZING hike and beautiful as beautiful gets. I did search and rescue up there for 8 years and pulled many people out that should not have been there, pulled frozen corpses and hikers on their last breath. If you go always go with friends and at least someone with experience, avoid winter hiking, death trap! Be careful and have fun everyone!
