I believe this is the cause behind Jerry not wanting to pay players. Magically guys been getting hurt after they become highest paid. It’s starting to look like Jerry is sabotaging his players and team out of pride. He always claims they don’t need a player because the line is so good anyone can run through it. He is always wrong.

LC, I am old enough to have watched Dobbler play in Texas stadium. My Dad commenting on how mean he was to be a guard . I also got to see Randy White and Harvey Martin beat up on people. But my Lord I enjoyed watching Eric Williams just brutalize players! Those were the good old days of football. I’m afraid moneyball and brands have replaced the football we played and loved. Hats off to you and the great ones of whom you remind us

Excellent video...hopefully viewers realize that this type of football is not tolerated in today's game (fans as well), definitely not players fault. It was vicious, especially on turf, but it was real. Enjoyed watching this HBCU/Cowboy beast Erik Williams do his thang!

@alphonsolora7635 Has anyone noticed that Emmitt was traded in his 13th season when he was in his thirties yet he still had the same exact yards in the last season of his career (937) that he had in his rookie season (937) when he was rookie of the year?

I agree! He is the most underated player of all time! He was not the fastest, by a long shot, he was not the biggest, by a long shot, he was not the strongest, by a long shot, and he was not the quuickest by a long shot, but he has great balance to and he ran smart as heck, and he worked his butt off, and that is one reason he was so durable which made him the leading rusher if all time! He was also very determined! I noticed how he was blocking defensive linemen much bigger than him , but he kept his balanced and held them off!!!
@davidroman1654Күн бұрын
"worked his butt off" - unlike the clown that Jerry brought back. Emmitt has so much class and that is something todays team does not have.

Emmitt Smith was a BEAST already coming out of Florida. But the Cowboys actually TEACH the nuances of RB play to every RB who gets drafted - at least, that's the system of skills that the great Tom Landry used to use for decades - one that many other teams have never had. This is coming from a Cowboys hater, LOL......
@petermoss2082 күн бұрын
i think Steve Atwater might qualify for that club you’re asking about at the end of the video. I don’t think he ever made a wrap tackle in his entire career. Totally unnecessary sometimes. But he was obviously trying to intimidate the offense. Maybe Bill Romanowski? Suh is an obvious one, but he’s modern. In the 90’s it’s hard to find guys like this. EW is a throwback to the 70’s and 80’s for sure.

thejoshuayoderblog.blogspot.com/2024/11/the-pottsville-maroons-1925-nfl.html Emmitt Smith in my humble opinion is one of the most humble guys ever in the history of the NFL. Seeing him be so appreciative of his teammates is something I always admired.

Your attention to detail is unparalleled by anyone. It was like you went inside my mind and pulled out every memory and had me scarfing down all that nostalgia. I remember the pain of the late 80s and in just a few years, it changed in a flash. The Niners were my favorite team to hate by far...even more than the divisional foes. Seeing a Merton Hanks after an interception, Ken Norton in a Niners uniform or Steve Young's face was enough to send you into a blind rage 🤣 Thanks for all you do with these awesome videos. Certainly makes a dumpster fire season much more bearable!

Dude been during this in since highschool. So to say it because his OL says alot about those who slighting Emmitt or playing favorites. Sure guys have more talent interms of breakout speed. His yards after contact his patient his balance. Unique ability to use change of pace , as well run against defender outside shoulder, which cause them off balance

Looks a lot like the cowboys now. Not tough enough when big games comes. We got great player from philly, but he just gets mad and pouts on the sideline while disappearing late in most games then dont say a word when he dont get his stats. Spends more time fighting his teamates during training camp then fighting to win in games. He's good good, but not a Reggie or an eric wlliams. We need physically and mentally tough

that was excellent ------- I always knew from having watched Emmits career he was special but i couldn't quite put my finger on it i think you have done that here ---so much deeper than he knew how not to get hit , when to go down, or 20 carries plus a game or Emmitt up the middle for four quarters or his power and speed and he did have great players helping , Walter had almost none of those things except power and speed and what you have found ...the magic...Emmit is number 1 and rightly so , Walter was the best , then Emmitt although Emmitt will always be number1 because his record is unbreakable----Thank you barry bonds----go cowboys thanks for the video and the magic of Emmitt i could have watched another hour--- looks like mikes time is sorry to say , can we get gruden or bilichek, should we try to salvage this season , would new coach provided its bilichek or gruden or someone of that caliber, get the boys back on track---What about schottenheimer or zimmer or garrett----and one last question am i alone thinking we need a rolando mcclain or even 2 rolandos if you know what i mean i do like wilson and overshown and parsons we need a roy or a darren or eugene, dont we

Great video and graphic breakdown analysis Prof. LC! The physical conditioning that Emmitt practiced had to be insane. Not only to think about what I'm about to do, but to be able to physically execute it. That combination along with his relatively short stature, made him elusive and then his speed takes over after the jukes and various missed tackles. Emmitt is a living legend.
@helluvatime45625 күн бұрын
His technique was to have the best o-line ever assembled up to that point. Lets be honest here his durability was legendary but his skill was nothing compared to Barry Sanders, imagine him on that team.
