I think that's the main reason why most of the Japanese people can't speak English. Because the educational system focuses more on learning the lesson by heart, rather than examining the language as a whole or doing real life exercises. I've seen that happening too in my country actually. Like, some people make obvious mistakes as if they just started learning the language, even though they studied for years. (I've heard some saying "childs" instead of "children") So, I think the best thing to see your progress is to hire a tutor, who only they can see your process with speaking, understand the grammar etc

My school was the same except the clothes also had to be completely black (you'd think everyone was going to a funeral). If you didn't, it was detention for 2 hours after school (not really fair punishing a child who's parents are the ones providing the clothes. Especially when the school will only except the extremely expensive special kind you cannot afford). 2:32 Interestingly, in the UK, "mog" (contraction of "moggy" [stray cats]) or "mog mog" (as an onomatopoeia, mainly with children) refers to a cat.

Great vid! I'm also in med school and this is very relatable lol. In my country you basically have the first two years where you learn all of the principles of medicine ( anatomy, physiology, molecular biology, pharmacology, pathological anatomy and physiology and bio chemistry), then, the rest of the years are all pratical where you work in the hospitals every day, so the first two years are absolute hell, but then it gets better. Its really interesting to see the differences between countries.
