I can't help thinking that a flame inside a wooden box is a bit of a fire hazard. Maybe a metal sheet between the flame and the lid might help, it might not.

My issue is that it is so big, seems more problematic than useful. I watched your video on the table saw upgrades , Man you are unsafe, I was watching for the kick back at any moment.

I have the Ridgid version of that saw since new, might try a few of your ideas. For older table saw especially these that need splitters and riving knives The Shark Guard makes one that really good.

by the way I have found that using thinner stranded flexible cord makes wrapping the secondary much easier. you can even take the thin copper strands from multiple cords and twist them together then tape them (with 260 degree Celsius rated glass fiber tape) to make any thickness secondary you want.

17:13 I was kind of hoping it would explode into a billion pieces as tempered glass does. That happened to me once. In my KITCHEN. I most recently found a piece two years after the incident.

Totally useless. Hand saws are much better,cheaper ,quicker and a hell of a lot safer. Did i mention quieter. No more to say.

Wait, you turned these? Damn that's way more accessible to me than 3d printing. Do you think it uses less power than lets say cyclone separator?

I'm glad you pointed out at the 3:00 time that all you have to do to square up the fence is just press the "T" against the rails.I have the older 113 (Emerson) saw and everyone bitches about the fence. They obviously have never used a "T Square" properly.

My god, the lack of a working stop button is a living nightmare. I've worked on an industrial CNC milling machine for 10 years and I still have nightmares about the emergency stop button not working. I would be so goddamn triggered if this happened to me irl.
@blue-tb2fd3 күн бұрын
I think it really should be included but if you're like me and don't want to spend the $50 just keep an eye on it and keep your hand near the power switch. I think you have to power cycle it anyway after you hit the E-stop lol

Once I got over you doing so much in the most complicated or expensive way, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your process. I’m assuming you did a few things because you could (or for content purposes), but I really did enjoy watching some engineering techniques applied to wood instead of metal. Cheers.

Sorry to say, but yeah you literally don't know about transformers, you just destroyed the most important thing i.e. the square plates by cutting through and again welding it, the plates are to eliminate Eddy current, now your transformer will have a significant power loss just within those plates, anyway who cares, it is a DIY😅

No riving knife because that was before snowflakes demanded such unnecessary fluff. Just like people used to run a whole 4x8 sheet all by themselves without cutting it up into little pieces with a circular saw first. Ah, when men were men, like my dad.

The difference in the position of the blade riding against the roller bearing , back bearing only allows the blade to run against the radius which has small contact. When the blade runs against the side of the bearing allow more contact surface bearing to blade.

6:21 so fun fact, when scoring glass, the roller on the small wheel creates tiny stress fractures in the glass allowing it to break evenly as it breaks along the stress lines, now with the saw these stress fractures don't form because there is actual material REMOVAL. The material isnt removed as much with the scoring balde. Boom
I really need to find a laser for work. We want to make one off gifts for clients when we go to meetings. I want something more professional but the f1 ultra seems stupid easy.

When you score glass with the glass knife you cause changes to its inner tension. Making a groove in it doesn't do that.
