Did you enter the Urunga flathead comp by any chance? The usual system did well for me this weekend just gone, a 35-40cm Jack (forgot to measure) and 70cm lizard! Catch you out there again one day!
@LoveYakken21 сағат бұрын
Hey mate, well done on the early season jack and good sized flatty, I haven't fished the "usual" system for awhile now but might have a go there next week. Na I skipped the comp this year, maybe next year.

Nice video, has been a minute would love to get some bass this summer. Just a question what td black were you using in the video I have the td black wild weasel for my light setup with a 2500 nasci for like flathead and whatever but worry the rod might be to stiff because it 2-6kg?
@LoveYakken6 күн бұрын
That is the exact rod I'm using, great rod, I use it for nearly everything from bass to jacks.

Beautiful bit of water you are fishing there... Great start to the season 👌🏽
@LoveYakken11 күн бұрын
Yeah it's a good spot at the start of the season. Once the water warms through summer can get thick with freshwater weeds/lillypads etc. making it tough to fish. I was pretty happy to get a 46cm first flick of the season though, thanks for watching Johnathon.
@Austin.harper11 күн бұрын
Always love a Loveyakken video. Is there any chance you could make a video in moonee creek on the Kayak and just go around the bend and through some paddle tails. We go there often and catch a lot of flathead and bream

That’s a nice start to the season with some good fish. I was starting to think that those spiders must have come without hooks. The Zmans certainly work well.
@LoveYakken11 күн бұрын
lol, yeah the hooks were actually really good quality but need to be a bit bigger. A stinger hook behind would work well in water that wasn't weedy, I got frustrated cleaning it every cast. Can't complain though I guess, $3 for 3 lures lol.
