And 62 years later Westerbrook is replaced by Trump. Different lunatic, same hate mongering.

Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent photography job of scenery.. Intriguing weekly episodes describing problematic situations. That. get resolved involving the (66) travelers. Vaguely remember those ( 60's ) episodes/good for viewer's to be able to see those episodes one again-!!!😉. Wishing viewers a safe/healthy/prosperous (2024)🌈🎉💵😉.

What set this show apart, was the on location shooting ALL over the country. It's a geography lesson, as well as a socail one, as the show made a point of using locals for as much as possible, not to mention the shows time line being the early 60's when social upheaval roiled the country. The show intentionally went to locales involved in such, so as to capture real people in real situations.

My father was a milkman, my mother did Tupperware parties. I sat in front of the TV with my TV dinner on my TV tray. I had such a crush on those guys. I was 10, too.

God, I remember those amyl-nitrate "poppers," in the '60s. They were made to revive somebody but it also got you higher than a kite. Great episode about a, "cult of personality," which applies in 2024. I think this was a take on the, "John Birch Society," which was fairly strong in the 50s/60s. Very right-wing.

At first I kept asking myself, "Bessie Smith?" Then I remembered, "Ethyl Waters." What a talent. I think that's her. I never read the credits.

Interesting sign, "Pay Your Poll Tax Here." If I remember my '60s history right, a poll tax was used in parts of the South as a way to cut down on black people voting. By making them pay a tax to vote some people didn't have the money. I believe it was eventually declared Un-Constitutional by the Supreme Court. I'm 73 so my memory isn't what it used to be.

I could understand that the guy's needed to blow of steem but every time I see this part I think they were so inconsiderate I mean roberts or the doc didn't have there liberty they should have known it would mess every one else up.

Boy left behind his telescope, girl dropped her doll onto the sand. Where did their feet take them? Imagination isn't enough, I got to know. Somehow it gets to be tomorrow I guess. Then time marches on... and flies like an arrow too.

Judging by time, informed details and climate it can be assumed that Mr. Roberts (at least this sequence) happens either in Vanuatu or Territory of Wallis and Futuna which were both French colonial possessions occupied by US troops during WW2.
