I've just come from Big Ears. I don't think she was fetishising Indian guys, it was more a personal preference. For him, his worries and insecurities really overtook having a balanced perspective and inevitably jeopardised his relationship. I wonder if he'd had therapy he could've looked at his emotions and thought processes more objectively and the outcome could've been they were still together. But I feel empathy for him. Haven't a lot of people done this? I have. Been so caught up in a perspective which one fully convinces themselves was right, but it's a perspective which is skewed, dominated by a personal narrative which most likely stemmed from fear and a need to self protect. Not realising until hindsight, one has made a choice which completely affected the outcome? 💖

This was really poignantly sweet. A man who is facing his deep complexities confronted with his mortality. And facing with courage in the end with his outburst. His friend who receives the acting role getting what he wants. His joy but not being able to express it fully. The things we do and don't want in life. The complex layers of human existence. This was a smooth, well constructed and putting together of complex human emotions and stories. 💐

1. avoid marrying a single mother 2. typical western women have high body count, marry only in your culture - figure her past. body count is a determining factor of happiness in marriage

Good film. Now, is he triggered by Indian exes, or that she has more exes than him? As in 8 more ...

As a pansexual woman, the men mostly wanted me to be into threesomes, the bi married women thought I should sleep with their husbands, and the lesbians thought I was a"fence sitter". Insecurities and fantasies abound about relationships. My least worry was dating a particular ethnicity. Everyone has their druthers. Mine was the sexual connection. Now i am old and dont have to deal with it. Go figure.

You have to believe in the love you have. My brother and sister in law have been married for 48 years. Black and white. The choices are more in the friends who stay and those who don't, how and where you raise your kids etc.

Sam Baron, you are one talented director. And this guy Amit Shah, what an actor! In fact all the actors are great. I watched your other short film today "Tall, Dark and Handsome", and now this. Blown away by both. Man, I wish these movies were longer.

The same thing happened to me, I dated someone who don’t date men of her race, I was also feeling insecure, especially when I notice some of the men were very ugly.

I was waiting for the two Indian men to recognize each other too in some way, since the communities often know each other by first or second degrees.

once in the military I was arguing with a friend - it was night at the front door a few others were standing around - and the way the light caught his giant ears - the streetlights - I just suddenly ended what I was saying by calling him a rodent - everybody stopped and just looked - and he says - "Rodent?" and everybody must have seen it the way I did at that moment and just started laughing - including him - but then he said - "ya, but you know the women like the big ears." and I hate to admit it but of all the guys living in that house off base - he was pulling the most women -- however I have very small ears and I was pulling the second most - so maybe it is just personality - but after that night I never used rodent as an insult again - it was just a magical moment that came at the perfect time - I have never wanted big ears - seems like it would involve extra cleaning and stuff. Earmuffs in winter
