My wife got a small plastic tub from the big box home center to coil a garden hose . Dull gunmetal grey color with a basket weave imprint. Picked up some green and gold outdoor acrylic and now that plain looking hose tub has a look about it and has become a feature. Scouering for more opportunities. Thanks.

I've seen some other folks use "marital aids" to vibrate the air bubbles out. Your results look great however with the back and forth sloshing.

Would you use this same mix for making large planters? I was going to make a large planter and wire for strength, im just worried about weight.
@rubbermoldman854415 күн бұрын
Yes, I use the same mix for all my statuary

I swift pre-mix concrete a bit to get rid of some of the gravel. It work great for very small items.

How about the curing process after the demolding? Do I need to sit them out for a certain time? Am I supposed to spray them down with water at certain times during the curing process?

I trust it works, it just always made me think that rinsing the mold in water would wash away the mold release. Must be a water vs oil thing.

Is there any prep for the molds AFTER the mold is used. Just wash with water, oils, or? I noticed concrete sticking to the mold.
@rubbermoldman854415 күн бұрын
you can scrape any bit of concrete in the way, and rinse with water, then just reapply the mold release eachtime you use it.

How would can spray paint work as a base
@rubbermoldman854415 күн бұрын
Spray paint does not make a good base coat, it may look good at first but Ive never found any that last.

Doesn't the gravel just sink to the bottom of the mould , do you want it evenly mixed around the mixture?
@rubbermoldman854415 күн бұрын
Its the consistency of the mix that keeps the gravel from sinking
