Nice speed, on the seafront, with the sun as background 🤩 The handling of this car is a mystery, maybe oil shocks ? Hopefully it will be easier next year. Can't wait to see the Cooper M05 project. Take care 👏🤝
@rctamiyaaddict468715 сағат бұрын
Yeah maybe the shocks were the issue with the handling. Won’t be running as a speed car anymore so I guess we’ll never know.

Nice work slowly getting there but it's not as easy as it looks to go faster. I'm running a tamiya TZ motor a 63t pinion and 25 spur gear and it's a lot faster. I have a 31 and 33T but yet to try as I need to get a speed meter first.
@rctamiyaaddict4687Күн бұрын
Nice. Just added the 63t spur but the weather here is naff. Hopefully will get another run in soon.

@@rctamiyaaddict4687 I don't have that issue here in Malaysia it's always 30 degrees Celsius 365 and if it rains it's never more than an hours or 2. I just got back from Belgium yesterday I went for work and I just happy to be warm again 😀

Such a shame you didnt break 30. Some didn't have many issues yet others spent most of the time on their roof! Looking forward to the CC02 and M chassis stuff. I'll be doing those throughout the winter too. I hope to keep one of my speed run cars and push it to see what I can get with it like you have with the TT02. Cheers for now 😊

You would probably gain more top speed if current wasn't passed through a Tamiya battery connector. If you have a non contact thermometer, read the temperature of the battery connector vs it's surroundings after a couple passes. It's going to be much warmer, heat is wasted energy. This drains your battery quicker as well.

Nice work, any improvement is good! Like Mark said I'm sure there is a 30 in there with that setup. I'd be tempted to jump to a 25 or 26t pinion as that's the biggest you can go without gearbox mods and should give at least mid 30's without too many issues.

This looks great, spectacular. I need to ask please because ive never painted an abs hard body shell rc car , but what preparation is needed? Specifically priming and scrubbing the body shell? Ive painted smal 1/24 and 1/25 scale model cars made from abs plastic years back and mostly used Tamiya paint and got beautiful results. But i didnt ever prime or undercoat them.
@rctamiyaaddict46877 күн бұрын
I rubbed it down with a green pad and washed it all down. Then Tamiya paints used. Used clear paint over the masking tape to try and stop bleeds seeping through. Mistakes will be made, but worst case is to start it all again.
