Please tell me where you purchased the sugar free sprinkles?!
@hollikrebs3 күн бұрын
I did a search, it’s hard to find but Etsy sells some homemade and hungry elephant has a recipe for making colored coconut shreds. Seems like the sugar free ones they sell are still unhealthy and so I guess I will try grating sugar free chocolate on my cake. Hope it works.

A BIG helper for me is using Alexa. I just weigh the food and shout it out as I’m cooking, building a sandwich, or grabbing a piece of fruit.

A huge help is to just prep "ingredients". Example: you weigh out 800g of raw chicken and season it with garlic powder, onion powder, (smoked) paprika and some cooking spray / olive oil spray. Lets assume this is arund 850 Calories and 200g Protein After it has been cooked (and stopped steaming! To avoid weight dropping still!) it weighs 600g You now know those 600g = 850 Calories and 200g Protein, because the calories and macros havent changed Divide both sides of the equation to get 100g = .... In this case divide by 6 => 100g = 141.67 Calories and 33.33g of Protein You now have cooked chicken ready to be used for salads or other dishes for a couple of days, with easy tracking because you calculated the calories per 100g

If you make a vanilla base, the best mix in is your choice of cereal. I personally use Honey Nut Cheerios or Cap’n Crunch but your preference will certainly work just as good to upgrade your breakfast.

Yum. How do we get away from the seed oil sprays?

Need a carnivore recipe. And definitely no seed oil cooking sprays.

Great to know they can last a couple of months n the fridge. Carnivore and Keto!! How about some savory recipes instead of sweet. I have been carnivore now 18 months and do not like sweet tastes anymore. Yum. Fermented would be even healthier. Is there a way to use the left over liquid after the eggs are gone?

We need a carnivore pasta recipe - home made carnivore noodles or sub!

Oops, I was looking for Keto/Carnivore. Using pasta here made it a no-no.

Hope you will stop having people put seed oils in their pan. Use unsalted butter instead. Hmmm, I had hoped for Keto/Carnivore and this definitly isn't. So glad some of your other recipes are.

The whole eggs with the yolks also make the recipe higher in nutrients! Sub white pepper to make low oxalate. I'll skip the veggies as I am carnivore, but add the bacon and other meat.

Cost of eggs here in Colorado, anywhere from $3.99 to 10.99, depending o the store and whether normal or pasture raised, etc.

I would leave out the protein powder and the sweetener and add the vanilla and lemon. I love tart things.
@susans709110 күн бұрын
Sounds yummy. There are now recipes for cottage cheese bread, cottage cheese ice cream, etc! 4 whole eggs, 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, butter! One ounce of cottage cheese has about 6.6 grams of protein, while one ounce of whole egg (both yolk and white) has about 3 grams of protein

I made this the same, but as some commentors suggested here, I added *no milk* . For my sweetener, however, I used ChocZero's Vanilla syrup-so that was my only added liquid. I also added a few shakes of concentrated powered stevia. I like a combo of squishy and baked within one bowl of brownie made, so I didn't mind that it wasn't fully solid. Half n' half is what I like. (Mind you, I always underbake my micro brownie recipes, no matter the ingredients). Not only was this delicious, it was super rich and satisfying. For something low fat and high protein, it's a true miracle when you really *need* a fudgey brownie-fix! Thank you so much!

i use guar gum to thicken my vega shakes, only after all other ingredients are mxd in, add 1 tsp per 1.5 cups of liquid, add crushed ice then pour promptly into tall glass, drink promptly or it will turn into pudding...its great...makes a shake into a solid meal (use 2 c or more) and will hold you until the next meal! very filling...

Dig the tats. Love the simplicity of the recipe. Here in Snowy Northern Michigan we ran out of gas temporarily for a few days. The gas stove was unavailable for breakfast (fortunately we heat the house with wood which is plentiful). So I used the microwave to make scrambled eggs and while my efforts were edible, since then I been looking for hints and hacks to improve upon the idea. The gas stove is now back up and running, but there are pros and cons to both approaches. I find the microwave is easier and quicker, but cooking on a stove pan is still more flavorful for some reason. Thanks for the help! =)

I just made this recipe today using 1/3 cup vegetable oil (yes, I know veg oil is crap, but I didn't have an avocado on hand) and it turned out great! It has more of a cakey texture than a fudgy one, but I will definitely make again using the icing recipe in my family's traditional brownie recipe and substitute the powdered sugar with Lakanto's powdered sugar substitute instead.

NYC here. I buy only heritage eggs from one farmer at the local farmer's market in NYC, and it's a premium of $10/dozen. I never buy eggs in a regular grocery store. Heritage eggs come from a specific chicken and the shells are brown, green, or blue. The yogas are creamier due to the DNA of the chicken itself, but also the chickens are free-range and "happy."
