I was soundly saved 46 years ago, and I'm always learning, but I can think of any verse that says our purpose in the heavens. If I missed it, please post...thank you. Also, I didn't ask for his purpose but asked for a blessing. As I am trying not to listen critically but Rick Warren gave the world Purpose Driven Life, which did significant damage to the Church. Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commands." we will find great purpose as we study the Word seriously and meticulously obey. We can only find "life." Please study the reason why Jesus chose the animal His first time because this is what signified that He was a king. I don't mean to sound harsh; however, you are taking on a serious responsibility by teaching here, so I would suggest more serious study before posting again. If you have never learned proper hermeneutics, please investigate a historical grammatical contextual hermeneutic. Without this foundation, we will be unable to learn and teach safely. Don't be discouraged, for I am saying what I needed to learn long ago. Also, I would encourage you to study the attributes of God, for this will bring great stability to your life. I am not encourage you to go to a seminary for at this time in history. Our seminaries have drifted from sound doctrine and have lost the power of God. Please clearly present the Gospel to these dear people for the church, which has also lost sight of its foundation.

My understanding of tongues is that there’s two different tongues. One is when you speak your own language to a foreigner and the foreigner understands it in their own language. The other is the “unknown language” you speak of.

There are demonic tongues, too. I come from many years New Age/ occult, and I’ve heard the demonic tongues come from a man who said he was a preacher. He spoke the tongue in a ayahuasca ceremony. It had a powerful and negative effect on the group, so much so that the people in the group got together and requested he no longer speak in tongues during the remaining of the week’s ceremonies. There are reasons the Bible has guidelines and rules about speaking in tongues, as many “come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.” “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge…”

I have been thinking about the precious baby we prayed for; may his parents have peace in knowing YAH is with them all. Even Google says that Biblical Israel and modern Israel are not the same. These people are a secular liberal democracy. While Biblical Israel was a theocratic monarchy devout to God. Also, speaking tongues is an actual language (Hebrew, Swahili, Japanese, English, Spanish etc). It’s a gift to edify Elohim and for unbelievers.
