I ride a ST1300 (among others in my garage) and I am familiar with the Pan wobble. A side note- I used to race 750 SuperSport in Colorado MRA (several tracks) with a best finish as 3rd in a national race. I am absolutely impressed on your ride that the fast lap video shows and it is really like that (except the other riders are competing in an actual race) and willing to bump you if necessary. Keep up the videos. Love to see them.

Hello and thank you for watching 🙋‍♂️. Your 750 Super Sport is definitely a classic ride ❤️. Congratulations on your success on the racetrack 🤙🤙. My time on the racetrack was pretty rewarding for me. I used to race and work for the Gebardt BMW racing team back in 1990 and loved it. Life continues and then stuff happens such as my stroke. I was still recovering in this video with my ST1300 to try to fulfill some dreams I had. (Life is too short) I didn't want to say "I wish I would have,, I wish... So my track time was self-fulfillment and was pretty much a sweaty task with a 750 lb bike wet plus my 220 lb ass,, LOL, made it tough. Plus my pegs were too low and scraping. I agree some real competitive track time would get "bumpy". Thanks again for watching and have a great weekend ❤️🤙🏍️

It CAN NOT be done in 30 minutes or less. I tried reaching in with my hand to access the little bulb from the back. It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE as some viewers wrote & bragged about. I followed your method but unfortunately, my right 194 peanut bulb fell inside the headlight assembly like yours. Seeing how miserable your experience was, I got a shop vacuum cleaner and attached a long little rubber hose, and sucked my bulb out of the headlight. Your method was working to grab the little bulb out, but use a shop vacuum next time. Thanks for the great video.

@MotoTouringWorldWide Ай бұрын
Hello and thank you for watching 😊. A manual w204 C200d is an excellent Mercedes. My car does not have a loud noise or vibration when turning off the motor, but I'm thinking that you may have an exhaust heat shield vibrating or a turbo spooling down? Do you have an automotive stethoscope? It is very cheap and will help locate noises. Here is a link to an example: www.amazon.com/Lisle-Stethoscope-Kit/dp/B0002SQYSM?th=1 I would remove the black portion of the stethoscope so just the plastic tube is near the noise. The sound will travel and become "louder" to your ears the closer the "end" of the plastic tube is "nearing" the "noise". You will need someone to turn the car off while you listen and place the tube where you think the noise is coming from. I hope this helps with diagnosing the noise. Keep me posted on what you find. Have a great weekend. 😊👍

Hello, thank you for your answer! After watching your video I changed the rear mount (of the gearbox) I started by this one because it was the cheap one, but the big (one time) vibration still here when I turn off my motor. I putted a full inox exhaust as the c63 with 4 piped about 3 months ago, but I don’t think it’s linked… I noticed on these last 2 days that when I drive really slowly it still does the strange sound but quieter and I feel the motor lifting a little bit around 2-2.5rpm, I guess it’s the big mounts. I’ll keep you informed when I get over this and hope my comments can help other people in the community ! Thank you

Any mods on it? Do your foot pegs scratch?
@MotoTouringWorldWide
@MotoTouringWorldWide Ай бұрын
Hello and thank you for watching 🙋‍♂️🤙. The only power-mods I have on it is the Booster Plug which gives the bike maybe an extra 3 or so horsepower. Top speed on the track before the booster plug was around 145, after the booster plug I got it up to 152. It also only adds extra horsepower when cracking the throttle to full throttle, otherwise daily driving and cruising is exactly the same. I also installed 18 inch Delkevik exhaust (see video). Maybe 1 or 2 horsepower extra and 20 lbs less weight. I removed the 4 elbow air intake snorkels from the air filter housing but I don't think it does much other than breathe better. I have a Super Brace for better handling thru the turns and stability. And yes my foot pegs SCRAPED horribly through the turns and was very annoying. I've looked for a kit to raise them but I have had no luck. I've got plenty of accessories on the bike also. Do you also ride and ST Pan-european ? Have a great weekend 🤙🏍️

you use oil 75w, this is not good oil. You must use 80w
@MotoTouringWorldWide
@MotoTouringWorldWide 3 ай бұрын
Not true, 75w - 90w is the "RANGE" and meets all specifications and requirements for "STRAIGHT" 80w. Plus Mobile 1 is FULL SYNTHETIC. The same formula for engine oil. If it says to use "STRAIGHT" 30w engine oil (such as your car), you can use 5w - 40w which will fulfill the 30w requirement. Full info below: Compared to conventional hypoid gear lubricants, Mobil 1 Syn Gear Lube LS 75W-90 performs exceptionally over a wide range of temperatures. Mobil 1 Syn Gear Lube LS 75W-90 achieves this through a unique proprietary formulation, that deliver optimized viscosity-temperature properties together with the highest level of inherent formulation stability and helps to protect against thermal and oxidative degradation, wear and corrosion, viscosity loss associated with premature shearing. It also can be used in extended service and for aiding in fuel economy performance. Plus: Exceptional thermal stability and resistance to high temperature oxidation. Helps to extend gear and bearing life due to minimal deposits. Long seal life. Potential extended oil drain/service intervals. Outstanding protection against low speed/high torque wear and against high speed scoring. Capability to handle some of the severest driving conditions while delivering smooth efficient and reliable performance. Exceptional shear stability. Helps to retain viscosity and film strength under severe operating conditions to prevent wear. Excellent rust, staining and corrosion protection of copper and its alloys. Helps to reduce wear. Long component life. Enhanced frictional properties. Improved fuel economy and reduced operating costs. Outstanding low temperature fluidity versus mineral oils. Helps to reduce wear at start up and ease of start up even in arctic conditions. Good resistance to foaming. Helps to maintain film strength for reliable lubrication. Compatible with typical automotive seals and gaskets. Helps to minimize leakage and reduce contamination. Excellent limited-slip performance. Helps to reduce chatter and improve traction

Hello and thank you for watching. A good mechanic should be able to complete the job in 2.5 hours if you have a 4 cylinder. If your car is a 6 cylinder it is more difficult to remove the right motor mount and will add maybe an extra hour. I'm guessing labor will be around $500 for a 4 cylinder and $650 for a 6 cylinder. Please let me know if I'm off or pretty close. (it took me 2.5 hours to replace on my car and it was my first time). Thanks again and best of luck. 🙋‍♂️😊

@MotoTouringWorldWide
@MotoTouringWorldWide 3 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching 🙋‍♂️. If the noise is only there during "acceleration" and you do not hear the noise when in park OR neutral, and if you do NOT hear the noise during "deceleration" ,, and then only hearing it during "acceleration",, then I would be focusing on your drive shaft. Another test, (and be careful when doing this,) put it in drive, put one foot on the brake, and give it some gas, but not too much, (nobody in front of the car), do you hear the noise in drive with some load on the engine? Is yes the problem is under the hood or the exhaust is leaning on something,,,,, if no noise I would focus again on the drive shaft. Once you have the car fixed keep me posted cuz I'm sure curious now 👍🙋‍♂️
