They love potassium, which is true for most plants. If you're getting holes or anything, try that.

Plakats are not just “short finned” the short fins is a trait made so that it is more practical when fighting as they were selectively bred for fighting.they were not bred to have short fins but instead bred to be fighters.plakats in thai has something to do with “fighter”

I’m confused what the two airlines TUBES are that are connecting to the pump if the air pump, sponge filters& air stone is shown to be on the same wire.

I have both species in 2 different tanks. One clown killifish species only colony breeding tank, and one tank with a small group of clown killifish and chili rasboras. I much prefer the clown killifish. The chilis are cute but the clown killifish just have much more personality IMO I also like that the males and females are different looking on the clown killifish. Also in my experience and with my set up with hornwort guppy grass multiple floating plants covering the surface and leaf litter they spend 75% of the time on the bottom of my tank claiming territories of moss, hiding in the leaf litter (Aquarium Co Op branded catappa leaves) if you put a lot of leaf litter on top of rocks to create little caves for them they will play in the leaves all day long especially the female wanting a break from the constant attention of the males

Just in case you got the celsius change of temperature wrong. If you raise the temperature by 10F it is about a 5C change, not -12C. If you are converting how much would 10F be in celsius, then -12F would be correct. But when talking about a change of temperature it is calculated differently. So if you go from 70F to 80F, you are going from about 21C to about 26C.

Xenotoca Doadrioi males were a nuisance in my community tank. Had to remove them because of the fin nipping and their nuisance in creating stress with my other fish.

I've just had my fourth time failing with amano and am giving up. I had ten in a five gallon tank, two adults and eight juveniles. The tank was cycled; ammonia, nitrites and nitrates were zero. After three days they all simply died. I've had this happen multiple times.

I love these videos, but I really struggle. I use Fluval Stratum from 2 to 4 inches deep in each tank, my two small 6 gallon tanks are killing plants(not melt, they’re dying). I have one beta in each one, a tiny heater, medium light, and plants keep dying and disappearing completely. What’s going on?

My short finned koi beta and her three ember tetra tank makes are doing super well so far! Definitely recommend taking out the beta while introducing the new guys and then keeping the lights off for a bit to make sure everyone is staying calm and not trying to eat each other.

From my experience. Plants need led light. But too much direct led light can cause brown algae to grow on the them☝️The plants will be fine, as long as the led light isn’t directly shooting it’s lights on it. Keep the plants off to the side a little bit 😤
