Sweet bike! From an engineering point of view, is there a reason the windshield is close to your chest?
@SmilingDevil2 ай бұрын
Keeps everything below the chest out of the rain. This helps to only have to dress for the bad weather on your torso and not your legs.
@electrom_LEV2 ай бұрын
The cowling is designed to cover the rider's lower body and keep it dry during rain, so it needs to be a certain length to do that. While in the video it may look like the dash is close to my chest it is not a problem for comfort or maneuverability. It's also important to put the mirrors and computer where the rider can easily see them. The Cowling is made of a semi-rigid polycarbonate and the dash rounded so it would not be a hazard to the rider in the event of a crash. We do make two sizes of cowling. The short size fits riders between 5' and 5' 8" and the long is for riders over 5' 8"

So cool! Is it possible to still buy one with the larger tail-box? Will probably purchase near Spring of '25.

Yes, we do still have the ability to make the bubble Tailbox. It adds about $500 USD to the price.

i have to wonder how difficult was on your body to do over 200 km. also that distance is insane to me since my country is around 500km across. as an engineer i am really intrigued about this bike, especially since i started my life loving motor transportation and i am nearing 30 and i have realised that cars are a no go for a sustainable future. really interesting product. i wish i was in near canada in any way to at least try those. they feel like a perfect fit for greece. especially some rural areas.
@electrom_LEV5 ай бұрын
Thanks. 200 KM is easy on the body while ont he Electrom as the seat is very comfortable and one only needs to pedal as much as one wishes. It is great in a rural setting as it can handle rough roads and potholes much better than most recumbents.
@hellNo1165 ай бұрын
@@electrom_LEV that's encouraging. my only fear is that it can't outmaneuver the scooters we enjoy here which have a tendency to got through tide spaces that they bare fit. there riders here use there feet on the ground to maneuver the vehicle properly. still i don't think this is enough reason to not like since this behaviour is specific to the cities of greece not the rural areas

An interesting bike. I have owned several recumbents including some sleek ones but the one I miss the most is my Linear which design wise looks and functions very much like the Electrom minus a motor 😎

Looks so much fun! But here in Ireland we'd need a fully covered bike! 😂
@electrom_LEV8 ай бұрын
You Might be surprised. It rains quite a bit here on the West Coast of Canada and the Eletrom handles it pretty well. The fairing protects the rider's legs and feet from rain so only a jacket and helmet are required for all but the heavies of rainstorms. Check ou toru video on the subject. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqrFd3p4r6uEetUsi=dRU86n-B7Jx7JRiZ

Not sure about passing on the right being safe.
@electrom_LEV8 ай бұрын
Here in BC the shoulder on the side of the highway is considered a bike lane so it tends to be pretty safe as no cars are supposed to use it. However, one always has to be careful and consider the risks of any situation.

Brave. But then I live in a country with moderate climate and no snow. However your Elecrom fascinates me.
@olsonspeed8 ай бұрын
The Electrom seemed to handle the snow very well. You are a brave man, too many drivers out there with no ice or snow experience.
@electrom_LEV8 ай бұрын
To be honest, I would not suggest taking it out into traffic in these conditions. However, I did find that when I got down to a main street the cars had cleared enough snow that it was not too terrifying.
@olsonspeed8 ай бұрын
@@electrom_LEV It is the lack of skill of other drivers that is the cause of concern, lots of drivers in the NW have never seen snow or driven on ice.
