I have been coming to this place for many years. The prawns are very fresh, feels like they were just caught! I love the Mee Udang with kuah... the mee goreng and nasi goreng is also nice.

You should try mee udang portweld di perak. It's have 10 big prawn..

My late father taught me how to peel prawn shell without messing up your hands using a fork and spoon/knife. First you cut off the head then you hold the prawn steady with your fork. I usually slid 1 prong into the back/top side while cutting off the legs with your spoon/knife. Then you can easily use the spoon/knife to remove the rest of the shell from the leg side since its the weakest part. Once you're good at it you can combine cutting off the legs into peeling the shell in one swift motion. Of course this only works for medium to large prawns. BTW the prawn taste comes from boiling prawn shells/head and using that water as the base/broth. They dont use big prawns for that purpose though.

Hi anyeong. I love to watch your KZbin videos. I wish to recommend a place, a fishing village north of KL about 2 hours drive. Go there, stay a day or 2. Its a place called Hutan Melintang, the largest fishing village in Msia. Go to the jetty, buy fresh fish, prawns, cuttlefish, squid, crabs, bring to any of the nearby restaurant. They will cook for you. Tour the village, savour the local cuisine, its interesting. Amsa hamida
