Ronnie had a real feel for Americana. It’s interesting that his Small Faces bandmate, Ian MacLagen, , relocated to Austin and has played with artists like Son Volt.

Im nearly 60 so don't remember the sixties and only see the love affair on KZbin few weeks ago Steve Ellis brilliant singer my favourite group are the small faces Steve Marriott has great voice as well you can't beat the sixties music best ever

Ive just lost my mum and she was a single mum in 1965....the words "i wonder what you would have been without me hanging around".... Really touched me and pulled at my heart strings the words made me tear up. I know she struggled and i know her life would have been a lot easier if i hadnt have been around.....I will always be so grateful for her and all she did for me ..God its a hard life at times and i will always miss her..

Our pet springer Spaniel dog was put to sleep on last Thursday 16th May 2024. This song reminds me of all the holidays we spent travelling to Cornwall,some of the journey's time took over 10 hrs, We played Ronnie Lane's Passing Show, album on cd in the car, with our dog, Clarice, her head outside the car window ,Beautiful music ,landscape & our beautiful dog Clairice RIP. Thank you Ronnie Lane & the band, Slim Chance.
