Ruger 10/22s are pretty good guns, it's a shame to buy a new gun in the first thing you do is replace a trigger cuz it's not worth a crap other than that they're good

So mine after like 10 shots has light primer strikes but I found a video after lots of searching talking about how on fix that. It’s a screw on the trigger group. I tightened mine and still need to go test it.

Looks great, congratulations. Is this a 18.5" Barrel? Do you prefer it to the 20"? And donyou orefer the bead sight vs the ghost ring option? Thanks.
@sonofaboomer
@sonofaboomer 5 күн бұрын
The 18.5 is great, but if I could go back, I’d probably go with the 20. The bayonet lug and extra ammo outweigh the 1.5 inches less of barrel length in my opinion

I’m probably going to hold out for the 590A1. The seven shot 590A1 is about $50 more than the nine shot Retro 590, but is a more robust build. The Retro is prettier for sure, but I want a beefier version. Tough decision.

Are these the same as the Charles Daly Field 12 gauge pump shotguns from a few years ago? My cousin has one and it looks almost identical to the one in this video outside of the label on the receiver. His also very light weight. I filled the shoulder stock up with pebbles to add weight to dampen the recoil a bit. I don't know if that will work out or not.

Bought mine used at a local pawnshop, pd $200, and mine has the hand grip stock on it, which I like a lot. After shooting it one time, I ordered a slip on butt pad, which helps a lot with the recoil. Mine runs smooth, but you have to get used to the front grip. I am considering putting grip tape on it, but have not gotten around to doing that. I do not shoot 3 inch shells through it due to the kick....it is light weight. As an every day shotgun, I prefer my Rem 870, but due to its longer barrel length, I like the Akkar as a more tactical defense weapon...easier to move with it around in the house. Anyway, I like it!

This is a wonderful single shot shotgun. Tough, accurate, and came with three chokes. Even has rear sights which is a bonus that comes with this shotgun. All you need for survival. Hunting, self defense. Recoil is moderate.

What ammo do you recommend for home defense?
@sonofaboomer
@sonofaboomer 27 күн бұрын
Going to depend on your home and set up. For my house #4 buck functions well, offer good spread but less penetration (helps protect people in the other side of the wall). But 00 buck and slugs have their purpose too. I usually keep other options on the gun in case I need something else.

Looks cool, however I'll keep my tricked out Beretta 1301, Holosun shake awake, Aridus co-witness, with night-sights. Buy once, cry once. Never slack on dependability. I get it, it's expensive. But, you gonna trust life (your family) to it? I'll get three rounds out in 1.5 secs, that pump gets 3 out in 10 secs... Math

My thought is the gun shop would be happy to sell you an $1800 shotgun to begin with. Then maybe they have accessories you like to go with it. Don't hate on me because I'm not trusting my home defence shotgun to a Tokarev. Is that what you're running?
