No better than SBS, SAS, Pathfinders, M&AWC. Just individual specialisms.

I want battle hardened individuals, land , and air of NATO'S special forces, unfortunately, forgotten and will never be seen. I am best of best if you can see me never. We fall but never stop crying for the country flag and honour of fallen.

They must be a little cheesed that they risk everything to keep the UK safe, but the politicians welcome the enemy with free housing and benefits!

I thought the SAS were sworn to secrecy? Every man and his dog seems to have been in it and waffles on and on about it.

Knew a ML who also went on to Poole and did an attachment to Hereford. Basically said the course was unnecessarily long run by people with inflated egos. SF selection was harder because it covered everything and you had to be good at everything to pass.

To be honest you can balance both comfort and uncomfort or do what your doing the best that you can and it's ok about it like you want to live tough just do physical task and you want to rest then sleep in the bed but the more you relax or the more you live discomfort then it's on you about how are you going to do for living

Yep...strong body keeps you alive.....para did the weights, got dropped from 650ft in high winds....hit ground hard and nearly died. The doc said only alive because his muscle mass held him together basically.

My Great Uncle Eddie Flanagan was in the first commandoes - never spoke of it much, a huge man, a gentle giant … Just a few years ago I was living in another former Commando training area, Cullen in North East Scotland. My father’s family of a good many generations were originally from Zennor/St. Just.

Many a Bootneck has climbed those beautiful cliffs in Bosigran, Sennan and west Penrith, the greats like John Zeke Deacon, Mike Banks, Joe Barry, Eric Stone Rawdon Goodier et al. I learnt to climb there in the Marines in the late 70s, I returned in the mid 90s with a non climbing friend, I dragged him up commando ridge and Alison’s rib, I remember belaying him on to a lofty exposed ledge, he sat next to me in the warm summer sunshine and started to gently cry, he was struck by the beauty of that fantastic place, he fell in love with the area and uped sticks from Coventry and moved to Cornwall. Alas he passed away last year, I will always remember that moment in time till the day I die. Thanks for posting the video it brings back great memories for me.👍

What is cool about a bunch of men taking orders from politicians, who make war to enrich themselves? Is it just me or are army dudes some of the lamest, wimpy order taking line towers?
@NoFsGiven66617 күн бұрын
No you'd get literally destroyed by spunds of it. They go gym most days and can run miles. That's what hard men do and go stare death in the face if need be. They do not give a monkeys about the reasons. Your not wrong about politicians. They have always been the wimps and the keyboard warriors online.

The Army did the same thing with a 3 day "pre-selection" course. Pysical exams, medicals, interviews. Lots of running, jerry can carrying, ammo box lifting ,no bending of the elbows with 40lbs in the box i believe it was, arms held straight out. Sit-ups, chin-ups, etc etc. It was actually pretty fun. Stressful though, as you're contantly afraid of screwing something up. I actually loved it.

Life is hard for everyone and it gets harder and harder till you complete the hardest task. I seen my uncle suffer every illness. Get dementia and see his brother die and break his hip when he was a skeleton at that point. I know the state of mind he was in for years just waiting to die. I am preparing for the worst rather than "enjoying" myself. If you're constantly in pain you overcome pain.
