Yeah its been awhile aince we got a high quality release. Its almost like games now days have a larger scope than games that were made 10 years ago and technology needs to catch up to the ideas

It is very empty. Really an alpha, not a normal early access. And yeah pretty much everyone agrees about their monetization

I don't know if I would go that far, yet. There is still a LOT they need to do.

I feel like the idea is solid, lots of people would like a combination of building and MMO - but this game is *_very_* far from feature complete.

I'm just not convinced players will regularly change their world just because or just for fun.

​@@barrywhite1770 sure ashes will have both. enough content for pve and for pvp players. this also means, that a pve player will have pvp forced upon them, for example through ganking. sure we have a corruption system to punish this but it wont prevent it entirely. i can already see the tears when people lose (part of) their farmed materials to this. especially because of the current state off mmos and their playerbase. the concept of risk vs reward or in general "losing progress" is something you rarely find in mmorpgs nowadays and the modern mmorpg player that's familiar with themeparks like wow of ffxiv might not like this and will be surprised by it. alot of people will play ashes because its an mmorpg and it looks awesome to find themselves i a game they might not like because its not only a lobby simulator for coop pve content but an mmorpg with more of an oldschool take. hence my blanket statement from above.

Not that we know of. What we know is Ashes DLS are planned to be on a monthly, quarterly, or six-monthly basis. I am sure there might be some seasonal stuff there but it has not been mentioned yet. KZbin chose probably the worse cover it could. I do not have control over that yet :)

You're trying to rebuild after a catastrophic destruction. The devs have plenty of space to reveal stories from the golden history of Verra that no player should logically be able to change. Those will be the true stories of Verra, not the comparatively minuscule squabbles of guilds and tribes over a the in-game equivalent of decades or centuries.

Thank you! I totally agree. There will be so many stories to come from this. I have always wanted a fantasy version of Eve Online player stories. Ashes seems to be that.

@@TheoryForge yes, happened to me twice in hundreds of helldivers 2 games, so I am now more cautious during extraction . I anticipate this kind of behaviors is exactly what dygz hates. But atleast Ashes offers counter play option post death. I play league of legends too, so I am used to the pvp concept, but after death I can respawn and counter play enemy laner and win vs them. While watching this node wars stream, I almost got the feeling of watching a MOBA top down fight in some moments. I am pretty sure Ashes will become one more game option to many millions of league of legends players who compete on ranked PvP ladder.
