I have had my 2023 since Oct 2022. A good 60 + % is dry camping. NEVER, has it lasted 5 days. By about 3.5 and at night everything goes dead. Yes, I will agree, that while traveling the USA and you soend a night at Flying Gas Station or find a place to pull off, everything will work. But if you plan on really going "Drycamping/Boondocking, you better have a generator to "boost your battery" every 2-3 days. We can Boondock for 7, 10, 12 even 14 days, with the help of a generator and really concerving our water use into our holding tanks.

Hi Joe, I'm a new Winnebago owner. I bought the 2024 Micro Minnie 2108TB. I store it in an enclosed space so the panel is not exposed to the sun. I do have access to a 110 outlet in the storage space. If I turn the battery disconnect switch off will it still provide a trickle charge to the battery?

By the way, your puppy is very cute. I have a question for you. I bought mine at an auction, so I have very little information although it was brand new and I went by a dealership and asked him about it and as you said earlier, the person was clueless. So I’m kind of learning on my own but it’s keeping me in parks instead of off the grid and that’s what I bought it for. My current problem is that I don’t know how to have it on battery operation only. The reason I say that is I cannot open the slide unless I’m on power and I know that that’s not the case. Otherwise you couldn’t be off grid. I’m just not certain how that works. Is there an on off switch? Any help would be appreciated thank you.

I am thinking that the cabling was ok unless it was improperly installed. The chances that the battery was the sole problem are very high.

Sorry to hear. I love the Winnebago overall, but if I were to do it over again, I’d opt for the non-FLX version and add lithium and an inverter myself. The truma appliances are great though. I wish Winnebago made those standard across the board.

@joestravels3027
@joestravels3027 Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay. Did you get your system back up and running? I’m not sure what you mean by resetting the systems, but if it ever gets wonky, I’d turn off the battery, disconnect from the tow vehicle and shore power, and then remove the fuse at the solar controller. That should kill all electricity to the coach, and reset any systems that may have gone haywire. The inverter remote, for instance, can get an annoying error message if you get the battery too low.

You seem to know your stuff but do a troubleshooting video and cover everything. Like why is the double green light on the solar controller the left one is blinking. Why when I’m on shore power and batteries fully charged my inverter doesn’t shut off. Where do I get these answers. Thanks
@joestravels3027
@joestravels3027 11 ай бұрын
I’m assuming you have a FLX. If you haven’t done so already, turn off the inverter in the basement, with the switch on the inverter itself. When that’s off, you’ll be able to turn the inverter on or off on demand with the switch inside the trailer by the door. Winnebago ships these with the inverter constantly on by default for some strange reason. That just becomes an unnecessary drain on the battery when you don’t need the 120v appliances.

My new flx is exactly same having problem with battery reaching 100 percent pluged into my house
@joestravels3027
@joestravels3027 Жыл бұрын
It may be a setting issue. If the charger is pulling too many amps to try to charge the battery, it may overload the house circuit and switch itself back to using the battery to power the camper rather than charging it. Or the battery profile is incorrect on the charger and it’s stopping before the battery is fully charged.

Removed cover in front covering lithionics battery and inverter pressed reset on inverter on the side and also reset button on go power box that has 3 blinking lights put cover back on turned battery.switch back on and pushed power button back on it blinks when on pluged back into house 100 percent charge 1 hour 4 screws hold wooden cover on easy to move away I think hitting reset buttons did trick plus grabbed battery terminals and wires to check for tightness all good now

Larger cables have ZERO to do with anything. Heavier (thicker) cables just means less resistance, less impedance, odds are your issues were an improperly crimped connector making poor contact, or a failed battery.

It truly sounds like your dealer is failing in the customer service dept. Two things to note when customers have issues , that’s an opportunity for the dealership to do one of two things 1 do better or 2 do nothing , and if you do nothing you won’t be selling winnebagos for long

Joe, thank you for the in depth product video. Specifically, in the Winnebago Micro Minnie FLX 2108TB, I have a 220 watt Ecoflow Bi-Facial solar panel. If plugged into the Side Mount Solar Port, is it compatible with the GO Power 30 amp MPPT Charge Controller. In short, will the charge controller take the watts from the Ecoflow panel and use it to charge the battery? If not, is this because the GO Power charge controller is only compatible with GO Power solar panels?
@joestravels3027

I believe the port is wired to the battery so your portable panel needs to have its own charge controller.

Hi Joe, how are you doing? any updates on your TT, F150? I have a powerboost as well. no issues with it so far. spent last weekend at the Tampa RV show hoping to get a clearer picture of what TT I want. the Flex is on my list for sure but it just added more questions than answers.

I’m sorry for the long delay. Life’s kept me busy. I finally got tired of my powerboost, partly because of its poor (relatively) fuel economy both towing and nontowing at highway speeds, and partly because of all the darn recalls on it. I traded it in at a huge loss on a new GMC Sierra 1500 with the baby Duramax diesel and so glad I did. Double the fuel economy, not a single problem or recall so far.

Hi Joe, Great video. How well does your truck tow the TT? I have 2021 PB Platinum w/7.2kw and I was curious how much tongue weight your TT is on your truck. I have very limited amount of Payload with my truck so I was thinking this TT may be at the higher end of that payload. Any info on your towing experiences would be helpful. Thanks!
@joestravels3027
@joestravels3027 Жыл бұрын
I haven’t weighed the tongue but I know it’s fairly heavy for a half ton like mine. If you don’t have your sway bars dialed in, you can get significant sway with these. I’m going to trade mine in, but if I were going to keep it, I’d probably step back up to a 3/4 ton diesel, even with diesel prices as high as they are.

Thanks for the video man! I'm thinking of buying one of these. Is the Truma AC ducted? Would you buy again? I CANT BELIEVE the sofa is not connected and just slides out! Wow! My Jayco A/C fan always runs too. Manual says that thermostat is in unit so air circulating gives accurate degree. I hate it. Please let us know if you find out something different. I hate to hear the Truma does this. VERY disappointing. All the issues are very disappointing.

The ac is not ducted. Honestly, I would not buy again. In fact, I’m trying to get rid of mine without losing too much money. I have made more videos but haven’t had a chance to edit and post them yet. The truma a/c imho is garbage, at least for a hot and humid place like Florida. It probably works decent up north (or in Germany), and the overall setup probably works well for Boondocking up north, but here it just doesn’t live up to the hype.

Hi Joe , I have installed all the Go Pro , Xantrex and Lithionics apps on my Moto Z phone. Several of the Xantrex 3000 parameters were wrong and I had to correct them. The Go Pro app always reads a fully charged battery and the Xantrex app rarely agrees with the Lithonics app in regards to the level of battery charge. Are you experiencing any of these wonky issues ?
@joestravels3027
@joestravels3027 2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Short answer is, don’t use the battery level indicators of the other apps. They don’t play well with the lithionics battery. Only trust the lithionics battery app. Get that info straight from the source.
